The odd thing was, it was packaged in a plain white sleeve and factory sealed. If anyone trades in sealed records at this store, they mark it as used and put it in the used bin. They don't reseal it or anything which made this find a little odd. I bought it out of a mixture of curiosity and a love for Beth Orton. I was wondering if anyone had any information about this? I tried looking up different pressings or finding a similar copy, but to no avail. I thought maybe this was a promo copy, but in my experience they usually come in the normal jacket with the barcode slashed out. Maybe Anti- does things differently? Any information anyone could provide on this would help me a lot. It's a promo copy. I have the latest Bettye Lavette from Anti- and it's packaged the same way. I tried to bring some records for trade in thinking yeah, these six records should cover the cost of two records considering you'll always get a better trade in value than a cash offer (so they say). I brought in about $150 worth of records which were all in great condition. They offered me $57 trade value and $48 cash. I was fucking aghast. I guess I can't rely on trade ins for new records in any way shape or form. I understand I'm not going to get exactly what I paid but fuck that. I had no idea it worked like that.
