if you want to do one touristy thing, go to the world trade observation deck. not sure how much it costs since i was lucky enough to check it out before it was fully public- probably like $30 or so. but it was just so damn cool.

also, smorgasburg

Probably are going to have time for stuff in Manhattan vs. Brooklyn. If you hit up Generation Records you could also check Other Music and stuff like Peanut Butter & Co, Artichoke, and various bars in the area. Theres a lot to do in that area.

Dude - Mamoun's on MacDougal! Falafel from Heaven man, best in the world. I dare you to have them put on the homemade hot sauce too.

I was wondering if someone could help me out. We wanna stay in lower Manhattan without driving into the city. Anybody have any good suggestions for overnight parking in Staten Island close to the ferry? Or anywhere that I can catch a train relatively close by and leave the car for two nights?

What are you willing to Pay? Pay lots in Newark and Secaucus abound. NJ Transit is easy. It will save some dough over the NYC parking. Newark has a few cheap lots but couldn't name them. I just know where they are near the station. Secaucus has gone up in price but is super convenient.

Thanks Dave. We are gonna do weehawkeen and take the water taxi. Seems like the easiest way to go.

You can park on the street in Staten Island right next to the ferry for free if you don't mind walking a couple blocks. There's a police precinct right there.

This is true. Unless there is a nice AirBnB in the area (there should be) there is no hotel in the area you could pay me to stay in. There's probably more to do in Weehawken and Hoboken is right next door.

There is no chance I would stay in that neighborhood but leaving my car is a different story. It's the hardest borough to get around if you plan on staying. I've spent many days stumbling around the ridge but I keep moving further and further away from that bridge. So unless I'm getting cupcakes for my wife or hitting paneantico for lunch I usually just drive on through. Nice place to live though.
