kamalatapes
Just wondering if that Muslims EP has bullet holes? http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/12043-the-muslims/ I can't believe the Muslims got a 5.9 it's a really good 70s style garage record, I say it's NY writers syndrome bias attitude against these guys. I bet if they were from Brooklyn then Cohen would be down on all four taking it all in.
kjkenney
I say it's NY writers syndrome bias attitude against these guys. I think you're spot on. The author makes a Strokes reference in the second sentence. read as 'there's The Strokes...and then there's these guys'

With so many other distractions in the city, there's really not much of a music scene. It really sucks for bands. We've had shows where we completely filled up a bar past capacity, and we've had shows where we only have 5 or 6 people. It's rough. There's a ton of really opinionated music writers who are just stuffy and pretentious.
