dreamover
It's no secret many of us have hit that "checkout" button without a second thought then months later look at the shelf and say "why the fuck did i buy that?". what was the last record you bought that you didn't need to? wursty
David The Gnome
Sugarcult - Start Static 126/500 // White Without a doubt. I think about selling it but never list it. With that said.. cost + shipping anyone? AutumnEmpire
somethingvinyl
I just bought Jello Biafra with the Melvins - "Sieg Howdy" used on a whim. I respect both Jello and Melvins but I don't dig this and know why I only like a few DK records.
JArc22
I didn't need that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis boxset. And it's warped as hell.
oasisish
The Bled - Pass the Flask Not my genre of music but lots of people seemed to be excited about the HT release so I thought I would check them out. Should have youtubed them prior to purchase.
andy.
Basically the majority of my tradelist. Most of them I picked up at shows cause I liked them while I was there and never listened to them afterwards. 6heart6breaker6
Derek™
The only purchases I regret are the ones I grow out of, years down the road, and end up selling for cheap. (The Used, Blink-182, etc.) I don't think I've ever purchased something and scratched my head a month later.
castaway
That Fest 12 Split. I don't listen to any of those bands. I just liked the Halloween theme.
deafening
Odd How People Shake Not so much "why the fuck did I buy this" as it is more "meh, I could live without it"
Tawney Bomb
The Black Angels - Phosphene Dream Thought the name sounded cool, but it wasn't for me.
Werner Herzog
Off With Their Heads/Morning Glory tour split. The best/worst part is that I listened to it BEFORE purchasing it, didn't enjoy it and STILL bought it! At least I picked up a Masked Intruder poster while I was at it.

213041284s
Hellogoodbye - Everything Is Debatable They have some catchy stuff, sure, but their music does nothing for me anymore. I listened to their first album in high school and loved it. I bought this without having heard any of it prior and now Im just trying to get rid of it. KevanKenney
Green Day - American Idiot. Hardly qualifies for WTF did I buy that as I got it for 10$ shipped off amazon and Green Day is great, but it's definitely something I could live without
killerofjoy605
Fall Out Boy's Save Rock and Roll I basically spent 20 dollars to have the song Rat a tat on vinyl.
jimthehuman
Danger Mouse - Dark Night of the Soul I was at my local shop, and for some reason didn't want to leave empty handed. I listened to the first track before buying and thought it was decent enough .... i started listening when i got home but stopped half way, haven't gone back to it since thesecrets0308
dandw12786
Arcade Fire's "Reflektor" single. Paid $13 at my local record store for a single for a band I don't really like, and a song I had never heard. That's when I decided I will never again buy a record based on hype. dreamover
I was at my local shop, and for some reason didn't want to leave empty handed. I've done this quite a few times and made some bad decisions. I also feel obligated to pick up vinyl by opening bands I've never heard of cause I want to support touring bands pressing more vinyl. gabpower, davisonmp28 and onwardempire
TimFeerick
Sugarcult - Start Static 126/500 // White Without a doubt. I think about selling it but never list it. With that said.. cost + shipping anyone? I did this too but luckily they emailed me saying it was sold out a week after I bought it and it was all good!!! haha other than that the only thing I can think of is the Daft Punk LP i bought before anything besides "Get Lucky" was released. not a terrible album but it's not very essential for me to own. rickyfuller
Holiday themed records. I bought them at a shop thinking i was going to play them during the proper holidays.. Truth is, i have my own record room/gaming/couponing etc. Im never going to sit in my room and listen to holiday music or spooky halloween sounds. So dumb. davisonmp28, Liimpan and thesecrets0308
Guest
The Big Star's Third box a few years ago. I guess I'm glad to own it now but still don't know what I was thinking. I love the music but it was expensive... I also bought the Bright Eyes reissues thinking I would get into them, but f that. plasma36
Shelby
Zaireeka. Bought it to have it, no possible way of ever listening to it correctly. Still, it's a nice package... davisonmp28 and Liimpan
dynamitekid
I bought Dillinger Four "Situationalist Comedy" two nights ago. I was drunk. No regrets but I did wonder why I bought it.
