hopefully it doesn't develop into Black Friday-esque type of lines in the future. it's getting pretty bad some places, but maybe the hype dies down. last year at Amoeba in L.A., there was a couple that got in line like 5 days before RSD and were obvious about being there to flip. i thought it was funny that no one was in line after them until the night before the event, so they pretty much wasted those days of their lives.

If you look at Don Giovanni's Facebook page, they offer a lot of their views on the current music industry and you will see that they are not fond of most of the practices that take place. So, in a word, yes.

Gotta be trolling, right?

I'm so sick of RSD. A lot of this is attributable to the fact that the stores I go to set themselves up for it in the absolute worst possible way. Putting all of the RSD records into a couple of bins where at most 3 people can actually see them and then there's a sea of 50-100 people behind them elbowing each other for a half hour is infuriating. I've been in violent mosh pits that were more enjoyable.
