FYI...for fans of the Built to Spill release, 4500 copies on Gold vinyl will be in most stores.  500 copies on Green vinyl will be sent to RSD stores in the Pacific Northwest (ID, WA, OR) and available there.   So if you want both versions, find some friends in Portland, Seattle or Boise...heh.

Yes! It has finay happened. Between this and BtS, I couldn't think of records I wanted to be pressed more than those two.

Hey Bronchitis, wanna be my Portland friend? ;)

So what's up with Joy Division- An Ideal for Living EP Is this going to be a 12"?

Because the EP is still available as a 7" I think it's pressed red and blue

By 7" you mean those bootlegs?

After the orginal 7" version, it was repressed a year later as a 12" with different artwork. I hope they will use that artwork.

where can i go to see a complete list as well as if they are limited to certain areas

nowhere.

some sites have decent lists set up - but no one knows what will ship where.

your local shop can order 8 copies and get 2 or they can order 2 and get none.

RSD is hell on earth.

How early do you guys show up to record stores?

I don't know if I've seen anything worth "camping" for... but I'll still go super early maybe 4 am? Luckily there's a public library next door to do all the deets as were all waiting in line.

SRP is $74.99 so you may find it a little lower.

Thanks dude! I wonder if the art work is the same. That's cool though shiny/foil.

2 things.

Firstly, prices for RSD releases might be high in the US but I have a feeling they're even higher in the UK. For example, the Bowie 7" 'Saturday Night Drive' picture disc for RSD 13 was £14.99 in the UK. How much was it in the US?

Secondly, I'd love to get a green vinyl copy of the Built To Spill album. Is there any way I could get a kind US West Coast person to get me a copy and I in return could get them a UK only RSD 14 item? For example, the Bowie 7" picture disc 'Rock N Roll Suicide'.

The Bowie reissues have always been expensive. I paid 24.99 Canadian for the Starman pic disc on RSD, though that's nothing compared to what it's "worth" now. I passed on the other RSD ones because they were as expensive.

I picked up the Life on Mars for 12.99 and Sorrow for 9.99 released outside of RSD, so there doesn't really appear to be logic other than RSD means more people will impulse buy.

Don't think this release had been announced yet:

FULL OF HELL has joined forces with harsh noise entity PSYWARFARE for a special split 12" constructed for Record Store Day 2014. The A-side of the cooperative assault is overthrown by FULL OF HELL, stripping the hypergrind elements from their barrage, here focusing on their distressing racket/static infiltrations, sampling in choruses, looping feedback and experimenting with more distressing and melodic calls, within the track, "Thee Unsurmountable Wall." The B-side is encompassed by "The Exotic Sounds Of...," a mesmerizing twenty-one minute-long, occult mental passage into places unknown courtesy of Dwid Hellion's PSYWARFARE.
