noname
I cant imagine that this would be listenable Why wouldn't it be, it's going to sound the same as their other 17 albums that all sound the same.

Either way the additional info is useful. Thanks for pointing this out though.
plasma36
http://news.radio.com/2014/02/04/listen-to-311s-new-song-five-of-everything-premiere/ Premiere of a new song and I'm digging it. Really like the production on it, but I hope the rest of the album is as "innovative and interesting" as they've been saying it is because this song could have easily been on any of their albums since Don't Tread on Me. GBRS
I went to the same high school as these guys. They were once one of the funnest live bands around, and at least 3 of their albums (music, grassroots, and transistor) were great records. However, they basically make albums every few years as an excuse to keep touring (they never stop). There is no reason to believe this album will be any better than the last 4 or so. David Loyd
I like the new song a lot. Pretty big difference in price from pledge to Amazon. Any chance the pledge order is a variant color?

Thanks for positing this. Digging the guitar tone. I have always like this band. Not shocked most folks on this board shit on them. It's not Brand New or shoegaze so clearly it can't be good. I for one had no problem with Bob Rocks production.
plasma36
Rock's production on Uplifter sounds fine but it's pretty flat on Universal Pulse. That being said, I celebrate their entire catalog.

I for one had no problem with Bob Rocks production. When I first heard their last album I thought it was terrible. It took me about 3 or 4 listens and then I really started to dig it. I think the last album is great but 8 songs was disappointing. Especially considering my favorite album is Transistor which is 20+ songs. jonnywreck
This song has a "Large In The Margin" / Soundsystem vibe to it. This fuckin' band, always making me hate to say that I like them. Not enough to buy their record in vinyl format, unless you count that "Don't Tread On Me" 7" that I found for cheap.

Requiescat
That cover is vile. It's definitely a pretty beginner Photoshop job that's for sure. The lens flares are a dead giveaway, haha.
