definitely reaffirming my decision not to buy. as much as i love this record, i don't think i'll ever spin the second disc, and my 180-gram black vinyl sounds great. 

 

I can see why they didn't want to release it as a standalone based on the recording quality of that track. Truth is, though, that had they releases the disc as a standalone,  I would have bought it without a second thought. Anyway, whatever, I still will be happy to pay to download and listen to these recordings.

I assume "Boombox Practice Session" means it was literally recorded to tape from a Boombox. I'm a sucker for alternate demo tracks and lofi audio. I don't have a copy of the proper album as it is, money well spent IMHO.

I actually really love the Boombox Practice Session song. The lo-fi quality and simple guitar parts are really endearing.
