noalarmplanet
Looking for some recommendations. Thrift stores seem to be turning up shit results.

xxmartinxx
I also have an Eico ST40 I'd be willing to sell, but not at Goodwill prices (but also not at eBay prices).
mpitts
Prowl Craigslist. Seriously. That is my MO for finding them right now. If you have even basic troubleshooting and repair skills, you can take on small projects. In the past two weeks, I have found and fixed a Pioneer SA-9800 integrated amp, as well as a Sansui Eight receiver. Both of which I got for next to nothing in relation to their value and only needed minor fixes to get working. Any vintage receiver is going to need to be examined and refurbed by an expert at some point. 30-40 year old electronics need new capacitors, among other things.
