CaptainHerbalLife
The Tumbled Sea is running a kickstarter to press their album Melody Summer on vinyl. This was the first neo-classical album that I was acquainted with and really opened the door for more music of the kind so for me personally, it has reserved a very special place. It has previously been released on CD and digitally by the Futurerecordings label, which has also released a lot of other amazing ambient and post-rock artists such as Birds Of Passage, Sunlight Ascending and The Ascent Of Everest. You can stream and download the album for free on the label's bandcamp page and then if you're feeling so inclined, back the vinyl. It's an amazing, mellow and evocative album. It's definitely good idea to give it a listen even if that's not your go-to music. http://futurerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/melody-summer Here's another release of theirs, every same bit as amazing. http://futurerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/songs-by-the-tumbled-sea They still have quite a bit of money to raise, with 11 days left and almost half the sum still needed to back the project but here's to hoping it will work. This music is made to be on wax. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1541457724/the-tumbled-sea
omik11303
I was just listening to this album yesterday. Definitely proper that they press it on vinyl. There's so many albums futurerecordings has put out that need to be pressed, like Sunlight Ascending, woodworkings, The End of the Ocean, Twincities, etc.
Derek™
Already backed for the vinyl about a week ago, which is actually the first Kickstarter I've taken a part in. Probably because the price isn't as atrocious as most Kickstarters. I'm not holding my breath, since it seems like the momentum has basically been lost at this point, but I do really hope they can power through. Derek™
OP may want to include a FFO in the topic title to attract more attention. CaptainHerbalLife

Derek™
Great idea. Not sure why I've never even considered submitting it to Sly. Hopefully that can generate some (well-deserved) interest.

When this hit my newsfeed I about shit myself. Not sure which album I like more, but any from this artist is a step in the right direction. Derek™
We need our post-whatever / ambient VC crew to unite and chip in on this, I think.
CaptainHerbalLife
Indeed, it's definitely a fair price for an amazing release as this promises to be. Melody II is one of the most gorgeous piano tracks. As you said Derek, I'm not holding my breath either but I really hope this works out. It's a small sum to chip though so definitely doing so, regardless. Anyone quickly submit this to Sly? I reckon a quick message on here to Ryan would do the trick. Last time I submitted something to Sly through their website, it never went up, but they do run a disclaimer about a strict music-taste based differentiation between genres so can't blame them. I know this would be more up their alley though. They could definitely re-generate the momentum. *Edit. Alright, I hit Ryan up on here. anchorlessbodies
Thanks for the heads up, beautiful music! Backed the project with the colored vinyl option, hopefully it will happen.
CaptainHerbalLife
Seems to be picking up speed again. Still no Slyvinyl update though... Currently, we would need exactly double the amount of backers there are so far with everyone opting for the basic coloured vinyl version for 18$. That would be enough to reach the goal.
