  1. Of course he gets the guitar 5 minutes after I leave.

It wasn't that soon after, and the owner of the room was freaked about it getting broken up so he didn't want to let anybody else come.

Also, who is takingchase, he must have been right in front of me?

  2. If you've been there and discovered a cool shop, or if you're from there and know the best local hole in the wall restaurant, this means you!

I'm basically looking for vintage, record, and design related stores as well as cheap bars with cool people, decent drinks, and good music. Oh, and if there's anything going on there in the next week, whether it's music related or an art show-- pretty much any social activity.

I haven't been to Boston since I was 18, and I didn't really take advantage of the city on that trip. I'd like to explore the hipper areas, so any advice on that front would be greatly appreciated!

  3. If people dont want Slurpees we should all go out for a drink at The Cha Cha a couple of blocks away...Slurpees sound good though.

I LOVE THE CHA CHA. I'll be there after dude... probably.

And just so that this post isn't totally irrelevant, I have a single ticket for the show tonight and also Saturday but I totally forgot about other shit I'm doing. Anybody interested in either?

Either way, I guess we'll all be having Silverlake+ Echo Park partytime tonight.

  4. I've seen about 20 minutes of this movie and it is totally beyond amazing. It made me feel things that most movies labeled "deeply touching" or "emotionally involved" (or any of those other blurbs) never do. Just really excited to see it in its entirety. Judging by your excitement already, I don't think you'll be let down.

  5. Less than 2 weeks away!

here is the info on the season premiere:

"Frank, Mac and Dennis try their hand at real estate; Dee arranges to be a surrogate mother to a wealthy couple; Charlie faces off with a lawyer."

At Comic Con the Fox booth gave out postcards with this image on them, and I noticed the snow and wardrobe but wasn't really sure what it was all about. Now that I've seen this, I am really excited for the Christmas special. And the live Nightman Cometh show that I'm going to this month. Woo!

  6. - listening to a sermon from our old Pastor in St. Louis....it's important to not follow the masses, it is better to be in the minority but knowing what is right in God's eyes and follow His desires.

This is quite possibly one of the dumbest things ever said. I'm sorry for knocking on your family, but that literally makes no sense.

No way dude, knock away. I posted it because I find that she is a complete moron. I just can't get into it with her because then it will start this whole thing between our moms (they're sisters) and I don't want my mom to have to deal with that.

  7. This whole thing makes me sick. Before you posted this, my cousin changed her status on Facebook to say the following:

-hopes all my friends with children are aware that on Sept. 8th, Obama is addressing your children at school and there will be questions and answers all day....[my] kids will have a 4 day weekend this weekend!! No school for them on Sept. 8th, hope it's a good beach day!!

-we are booked flight, hotel and car....Rob and I are going to Washington DC for the 9/12 Tea Party!!

Then she responded to a friend regarding that update with "Jenny, that would be incredible if you could meet us somewhere!! This will be something we will never forget and get to tell our children and grandchildren about!"

    - listening to a sermon from our old Pastor in St. Louis....it's important to not follow the masses, it is better to be in the minority but knowing what is right in God's eyes and follow His desires.

And the latest poll she participated in:

Should we bring back the Pledge of Allegience at American schools?

    - Yes! Its an American school!

    - No, It offends my childrens beliefs

    - Let the kids who want to, do it! Let the others sit it out

She voted 'Yes! Its an American school!' Of course.

All I can think is that this woman's kid (my 2nd cousin) has cancer, and she didn't have money to take care of all the bills, but she opposes health reform to such great lengths that she's one of these psychos?! I was so excited to be able to communicate with my family because of the glory of the internet, but now it just makes me cringe when I see all their bullshit. It's just driving me crazy seeing all this insanity I suppose. It really sucks too because I was planning on meeting up with them to see my younger cousins when I go to Fest, but now it feels like I never want to see them again.

  8. I squeeze lime juices into the bottle, then i rub the lime around the rim of the bottle; try getting some of the pulp around the rim if you can. Put the lime inside of the bottle. Poor the tapatio hot sauce in the bottle, evenly filling all the innards walls. Sprinkle salt inside and around the rim. Plug up the bottle with your thumb, and slightly tip over the beer to mix it. The carbonation should make the beer rise a little; tip back over and take a drink. Extra: You may want to add more more salt/hotsauce midway.

I add lime to almost everything, but this sounds like so much effort just to make it potable?

dudes its beers, any kind is good

you must be kidding me. so you're saying coors light taste good? lol

You obviously have never encountered Eddie.

  9. it sucks. happened to me twice in about a year. 1st time they got my cd player, 2 books of cds, check book, like 20 bucks cash, portable dvd player and all my change.

2nd time i think it was kids cause all they took was cologne and my fancy ass knife my dead grandpa gave me and all my change.

Both times i felt soooo fucking violated that some fucking pieces of shit got into my space. When they stole the knife, that hurt more than all the shit they stole the 1st time.

    Fucking animals!

That is horrible. I know how you feel because last time my car got broken into, I had $1000+ worth of shit in it (overnight bag with clothes, makeup, medication, my favorite pair of jeans that I cannot seem to track down again, etc.) as well as the shit that you can't replace... like a necklace from my grandmother (also deceased) and my two favorite vintage shirts that my mom gave me that were hers... so some sentimental stuff. They even took my ankle brace for my bad foot. It was also raining that night so my car got all wet and mildewy when it was hot the next day. Fucking animals indeed.

  10. And stole my iPod!!! YAY. I've been out almost every day, and the one day that I'm home sick, (getting all sorts of other bad news too) someone breaks in while I'm parked in front of my house. I also don't have any of the music backed up because my computer was stolen a while back also (from my apartment, which was also fantastic). I guess this happens to everybody, but I'm just pissed off because this is the second time someone's broken into my car since February (although last time was near USC). And sorry for bitching, but I was about to post regarding something else when my dad told me.
