Wow, I'm really loving this album

wow, i hadn't looked, that is a pricey record.

 

if i can't find a user to help me out/help them, the last place i'll go is urban outfitters to buy this record.

I only say UO because of free shipping with orders over 50 bucks. It's good for me at least since I'm in Canada.

get it on urban outfitters website. You might as well pick up some other Black Key's albums while you're there because El Camino is definitely the worst

this album is phenomenal! It's sad to see Youth Lagoon fans not enjoying this. The production on this album is amazing.

Nice! I saw them back to back in Toronto in 09 and just last August (Jesse mentioned in an interview that it was one of his top 3 favourite shows) and they always seem to kick serious ass. Hopefully they play some new shit at your show man... that would be key.

So, I stumbled on this story and hopefully it hasn't been posted before, but apparently this guy met Jesse at a concert in New York a few weeks back and Jesse had told him that Brand New are aiming for a Summer 2013 release. Personally, I'd take it with a grain of salt, but the article clearly shows a picture of the guy (Michael Rugenus) and Jesse talking, so maybe it's true! If so, I can't wait!

What do you guys think?

The Black Keys and Arcade Fire

How do you not like Arcade Fire?! maaaaaan, how much have you listened to? And you should listen to everything by the Black Keys from Brothers and back. El Camino was shit.

I bought 4 records off this dude over two weeks ago and have yet to receive them. I'm not sure if there's any way to get my money back or not in case they don't show up. Anybody got a clue?

Has anybody dealt with this guy before?

I've browsed while not being a user and seen it go for 60-100 often enough it seems. I'll have to wait and see if someone is generous enough to sell for that amount,otherwise I'm out of luck.

i guess i'm the only one here that thinks every modest mouse album is great in its own way?

they haven't really disappointed me with anything.

Completely agree with you dude. I find that in Modest Mouse fans there are the guys that either just like the new stuff (not many, I hope), just like the old stuff or just generally love all of their stuff. I'm with you here though, all of their stuff is great. How can you dislike anything on "No One's First and You're Next"... that album is great through and through. That being their latest, I felt it was most relevant. Also love Good News and We Were Dead. Go Modest Mouse! 

On that note I can't wait for that new album, which hopefully we hear more about soon.

 

Brand New... I can't describe how much I love them. For short, I went to two of their shows back to back in Toronto... Those were some seriously badass nights. I just saw them this year in August and they absolutely killed it! It was probably my favourite show of the year and I went to LOTS. I think if I'm not mistaken Jesse mentioned that show being in his top 3 of all time, so there's that for you. Jesse did an interview with some guy in London, Ontario I think... I don't even know, I just know it's wherever they went after the Toronto show, and I think he mentioned they were going to do some writing and he commented on that quote that was thrown around about them writing happy music, and basically said well no that's not going to be happening, but it seems like we can expect some new music from them... HOPEFULLY.

Lastly, how come I don't hear any Arcade Fire up in this? They are due out with a new album this year and it is most likely going to be my album of the year, but we'll see.
