25EURO.... for that...?
I must admit it's a bit pricey, but i works great. And i have the feeling that there are much
more records with too small spindle holes now than in the good old days.
-
I use one of these: http://dacapo-records.de/product_info.php/cPath/560_599/products_id/1626
[use Google translator if you don't speak german ;-)]
Works perfect and you have no problems with damaged spindle holes.

Got my metal box and bagged from customs today. Had to pay 46 euros. Damn.
But the heavy records from the metal box sound absolutely fabulous.
Too late show sounds so much better than the old pressing.

all the records are cut at 33
Thanks for the info.
-
Are some of the records were cut at 45 rpm or are all on 33. I still haven't got my box set so...
The old too late show was only at 33.

I'm curious if new vinyl 78s are mastered using the RIAA curve; old 78s definitely were not, which is why they sound so tinny through modern pre-amps that use the curve.
I think all modern records are mastered with the RIAA curve, even if they play with 78 rpm.
You may check out the cool 78 rpm albums by Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. They look like a 1940s record album. And the music is great too.

Some of the people who post pictures in this thread:
http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/246-post-a-pic-of-your-collection-band-or-label-only/
Haven't seen this tread before, but as i'm registered with fatwreck wiki i know there are collectors out there
who collect everything a label puts out. I collect records with music i like and not because they
were put out by a specific label.

They must have multiple paypal accouts too. But who's so crazy to want all variants?
-
I think that was so far the greatest thing any label had
done for the fans. I hope i'll get the records i wanted...

We'll see if we can crash the paypal site in about 90 minutes...

ok, try this on for size.
first person to tell me what the first release was on Selfless Records....
You will win a Sack test pressing....
Good Luck,

Now just hope they go up for sale on a European friendly time of the day
Me too...

Just imagine the total uber set:
12 one-sided tye dye records on 250 gram vinyl.
Packed in a metal box with the denim bag to cover all...
-
What's with the one sided records? Are they black?
-
Damn...
that are some of the best looking records i've seen in a while!!!
-
What do you expect...
I think it's the only chance you have if you want one of the variants. I don't think that any of these will make it to Todds Ebay shop.
(That's where i got the TBR Ice Age Metal Cover)

Damn, this box is really good looking. Even better than TBR Ice Age Metal Cover.

You need some installation gauge like MFSL Geo-Disc or Schoen-Schablone. I recommend the latter one but i don't know
if it's available in english.
