Just got this today. Is anybody else have alot of static? Mine has a TON also I noticed it looks like inside the wax is a bunch of black shit. Looks like big pieces of plastic broken off and was melted into the vinyl. Mine also had a ton of dust and little pieces of something all over it when I pulled it out of the sleeve.

I like most of them. But if you don't like Kanye and Drake (especially Kanye) then I'm guessing you take their public lives into account when judging their rap skills.

Agreed Kanye and Drake are probably two of the best mainstream rappers/hip hop artists out right now. Especially Kanye. 

I think part of the reason it didnt sell as fast as Drive is probably because of the lack of the year long hype of Drive along with the fact that while I think Eng does some wonderful work (see Argo print), its not Stout, which is one of those names that sells rather easy to the art print collectors. Plus, I think most would agree that Drive is a better soundtrack overall.

Not to take anything away from the Oblivion vinyl though because its a wonderful score and has some great artwork as well. To its credit, it did sell out faster than any of the other Mondo releases not named Drive.  Plus, I'm sure people's wallets are still feeling the RSD hangover and some probably don't mind waiting until the black vinyl gets released in stores.

Yeah I knew alot of art collectors who picked up the Drive soundtrack only for the Stout art work. He is just one of those names who no matter what he puts out it will sell. 

Was surprised to see this sitting at my local hastings store today. Picked it up while I was there returning a horribly warped record. 

Yeah people said that they checked instantly and it started up there around 1500. Selling 1500 records in a day is still pretty good, I wish people checked how many when Drive went up.

I would say probably about the same numbers maybe more. Who knows though. Since all the ones getting sent to stores are part of the same run it probably was even more. I think the only reason the Drive soundtrack sold out so quick is because I know plenty of people who ordered more than one just to get a better chance at the pink. Plus it was artwork by Tyler Stout who is one of the most popular artists for Mondo.

I can almost guarantee that wont happen. If you have the money I would buy it now. Drive OST sold out in about 30 minutes and the other sound tracks have all sold out with in a day. They wont last a full weekend

I am still debating on whether I want this. I would wait to get it, but I have a feeling if I don't get a pre order in I wont find a copy for a reasonable price later on. 

The people saying this doesn't sound better than whatever they desired to put. I do know this. This is my cheap alternative to getting into collecting records. Honestly right now I don't care that it doesn't sound as good as anything more expensive  Some of you all might think thats dumb but thats ok. I will be getting a much better one in the next year or so once I get a down payment on a house, but until then this will be fine enough for me. I will be sure to come here asking for advice on what is a good choice to go with. 

Yeah I got it in. Set up was really easy. Honestly the sound I think is good for less than 100 dollars. No way will it compare to the more expensive ones, but for something cheap it works real well. 

I picked up mainly all non RSD stuff since my store didn't get much I wanted. Grabbed BTBAM Anatomy of online and picked up Coheed and Cambria Beige Demos. As far as non RSD stuff I picked up Daft Punk Discovery, Saosin self titled, Dave Matthews Band away from the world, Coheed and Cambria The Afterman Descension(turquoise edition) and BTBAM Parralax II 

Dang missed the Riot! Anyways picked up BTBAM Anatomy of and BTBAM Parallax II from SRC. Was very happy to see Parallax II for 16.99 especially considering I was going to order it this week for 30. 

Have you ever shopped on Mondo before? The way they do it is they put these up at a random time during the day. They won't give you the time, but it is usually before lunch. When I bought the Drive Vinyl it sold out with in 30 mins. Others have said the older ones they released took almost all day to sell out. So Im not sure exactly how this one is going to do.  

I ordered one on Amazon last night. I bought the black version which is fulfilled by Amazon from a different seller. Silver was out of stock. I noticed that I can't really find any auctions on ebay or whatever of the black version. Has the black version been sold out for awhile or something? 

Will forsure be picking up the Oblivion vinyl. Love the artwork/score 

is this version guaranteed clear? I thought I heard someone say on a different site that the only copies his record store had was the clear version. Just wondering if that is the case here. If so I will be buying

45 is alot for this, but the blood splatter just looks awesome. Will probably be ordering this tonight! Better than paying ebay prices for it. 

I see exactly where you are coming from, but I don't need anything real fancy right now. I have other stuff I need to get. One day I will eventually get a better setup just right now this is more in my price range and really As good as vinyl sounds that isn't the only reason I'm getting into this hobby. I love to collect things. Especially music and art. With Vinyl I am kind of getting both That is just my thought on it. I know some people will think thats kind of dumb but o well 

I really appreciate the help! Yeah I know it wont come close to the more expensive setups, but that will come with time. I'll be buying a house later on in the year so no way I could spend that kind of money on a set up right now. 

I ran a similar setup--LP60 has an output that you can plug the speaker output into.  It worked just fine for getting started.  Naturally, if you decide it's a hobby you enjoy, you'll probably want to upgrade in time, get a proper preamp, EQ, etc. 

 

Now, in terms of sound quality, I'm not sure of what those speakers may or may not replicate.  As far as I was concerned, it sounded just fine.
