Howl's is the only one with the Japanese title on the jacket - that was a SDCC variant.

The other two have English jacket text and Japanese obi strips.

I have all three variants, all of them feature both English and Japanese text - so I'm confused.

Guess I was confused as well, I was looking on ebay and it looked as if some were Japanese covers and some were english. Sorry for the confusion will edit. Also still looking for all 3

Picked these both up yesterday, looked everywhere in the store and couldn't find them finally I asked and they were behind the counter... Oh well at least I got them. They look great and so far played side A of lion king and sounded good so far.

thanks for the reply. I am going to check out the thrift shop tomorrow and if that doesnt look promising then I will give either one of those first 2 a try. 

will also need the pre amp and speakers. any place I can find these decently cheap. 

I really don't have a ton of spare cash laying around but definitely want to get into the hobby.

That Technics would be a great place to start, but you'd probably want to put a new cartridge/stylus on it. And as was also already stated, you'll need a preamp or a receiver with one built in.

The Dennon 400F and the Pro ject debut III should be two that you look at for new entry level tables IMO
