Buy it now listings are not a good thing to go by for pricing. Go by sold listing.
Yea totally, that's what I mostly do. And usually accept offers for as low as 1/2 the asking price. Certain tapes I sell have some personal attachment which don't allow me to sell it for cheaper.

No, I agree people can be vicious here sometimes. I will never understand users coming into a thread and berating a seller because the seller is not selling the items for a price they think is "fair." I do agree some prices are high on your site though, but that is your prerogative.
Yea part of the reason they are high is because I used a program to automate my listings from eBay which had a "best offer" option, but my website template doesn't have that feature so it's throwing people off. People on eBay seem to enjoy making their own price so I keep it high so there's room to bargain. So that's why I offer free shipping and a free cassette on my new site to try and balance it out, but yea I know something's are a bit too much. I gotta try and go through some of the really high priced items.

I didn't think the "quality of music" was supposed to be taken as an insult until it was confirmed. I thought it meant actual quality of music i.e. the tape ribbon it was on...I guess I was wrong.
They were both just wise comments taken too seriously. I never heard his band. It was a joke. I was definitely just feeling piled on and got defensive. Peace and love, peace and love.

And man, you trying to sell major label tapes at insanely high prices for personal gain has nothing to do with a love of music and positivity. As someone trying to work with musicians in order to spread their tunes as cheap as possible the very fact you'd claim your greed as aask act of a love for music is outright silly! If youre all about positivity and the love of music, wouldn't you wanna hook up listeners with good deals?? This "store" you've made THREE threads for has nothing to do with a love for music. And my sarcastic attempt at pointing this out may have been uncalled for but it certainly wasn't on the level of insulting the artistic merit of the musicians I work with, all of which have nothing to do with me. And this lengthy response really isn't necessary, but that bothered me cause they dont deserve that. But, like you said, you didnt even lend them an ear. You just felt defensive. So, in return, I suppose this is me being defensive!

i really dont know why im entertaining this, but......yes the store is a business for me. and yes, im trying to make money from it even tho its while doing something i love. I love music. I love dealing with music lovers. I love being able to buy and sell these albums and listen to them before i send them off. You have no idea what i spend to acquire them and the cost of shipping supplies and website fees and transaction fees, new cases and the shit load of time i put into it. I probably make about .25 cents an hour if i was paid by the hour. Everything is priced slightly lower than what ebay sells them for and i accept best offers on them and pay to mail them. and if you were cool and emailed me about something you were interested in i would have definitely hooked you up. And I even have tapes as low as 99 cents. Im sorry that you dont think a Brand new sealed cassette is worth $8.95, but to me it is. I love the format. And value it. I usually dont make more than a few bucks a sale. and what you do has nothing to do with what im doing. Greenday doesnt need me to sell there tapes cheap for exposure. and frankly the've ripped me off more than i'll ever rip them off. Ive been in bands my whole life, working with labels, losing money touring and releasing my own albums for dirt cheap. Its what ive done and continue to do in life, and thats something else. If i make a few bucks off selling a beatles cassette i dont think it should offend you, but it clearly does. And i dont give a fuck, but i cant not respond because im a defensive punk who refuses to take shit from people who don't get it. Im sure youre doing good things with youre label and thats great. keep it up. sorry if i offended you with my comment about your bands quality of music (which was a joke), but if your gonna talk shit to people you should expect a reaction. even if we are caught up in some type of retarded internet geek battle. I hope we can be done with this. I paused walking dead to respond to this and i really wanna know what happends with the cannibals!

well i understand im new to this site and maybe no one knows me, but I have actually used it more to find albums for my collection. Im sorry you were offended by my reaction to dictz nasty comment, but Im actually pretty friendly, but i guess only to other friendly people. bummer you let that ruin using my site. I would to make friends with some like minded people. Im really trying doing something out of love for music and positivity. I hate when negative people cause a storm of confusion for others. If you change your mind feel free to email me. I have so many cassettes its unreal! ha im gonna end up on hoarders!

eh, i think you guys are being a tad rough... guy clearly said make him reasonable offers... sure you can find a bunch of these at goodwill, but who cares about random 50 cent tapes you probably dont want? price seems to be for the ability to have a sealed new copy now, not after aimless trips to salvation army... if you dont like dont buy...

Haha. yes, if you have the time and are not looking for a specific cassette thrift stores are def a cheaper option. All my tapes are however in brand new or very good condition and guaranteed to play.
