  1. Thanks for the reply. I'm most interested in Taking the Rough with the Smooch, so I don't have to collect the individual 7"'s.

I'm mostly including the bigger ones. It's an introductory retrospect of the movement for a station with an audience of mostly casual music listeners. So far I have: Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, Bratmobile, Huggy Bear, L7, Sleater Kinney, Babes in Toyland, and Pussy Riot (as a contemporary example). It's only two hours so I can only include 8-10. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

  2. Does anyone have any lps from the band Huggy Bear? I am doing a radio show documenting the riot grrrl movement and it would be a disservice not to include them. If anyone can help me out, it would be appreciated.

  3. What's funny about what you guys are saying, is that you must not understand "hipsters." I feel it's WAY more hipster to say Miles Davis is better than modern music (or at least the selections on his list). Not to say I disagree, I've never given Davis a fair shake, but come on. Let's not get all Citizen Kane up in here.

hahaha yea thats what I was thinking. There would be nothing more hipster of me to do than buy a jazz album just to brag about my jazz album.

    Btw, I picked Elf soundtrack...

  4. I've had a 20 dollar amazon gift card for 3 years and I haven't been able to decide which vinyl to buy with it in all that time. I see it as getting a free record (which is stupid because it's still money), but there are too many options! Seeing as you guys are vinyl enthusiasts, maybe you could help out. Here is a list of records I've been stuck on but recommendations are welcome:

The Cribs- Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever

    Warpaint- The Fool
