So you plan to get right into big box stores? I would image you would have to sell them yourself, prove it to be a viable product, before you get orders from big box stores. It would be fairly easy to get it made, set up a site, sell and ship them yourself...the reason I was asking price points. The financial back ground in me is seeing this as an easy start up.
I planned to sell them personally until I was approached. Still working on a plan. Didn't think that would be an option.

i dig it, would be cool to customize it, which i image once the business can pick up steam, it could be done. I do this with my records now, but just use a family picture frame to lay the record against to keep it up. I might have over looked it, but when production is done and they go on the market, whats the price points?
I'm not sure where the price will land... Retailers will set the price.

As I work with sheet metal, and operate a press brake, I could easily make these!
Can I get a quote?
-
This is not a surprise.
Lol. Could you expand?

I appreciate the simple design and functionality of the product but the price is a bit high for what it is and costs a butload to ship. Congrats on doing well with the Kickstarter but I may try and make my own... though it might not look as good!
Thanks Koolhandnick. Let me know how making your own goes...I outsourced everything.

You can find picture displays or sheet music holders that do the same thing. Kind of pointless, these have been around longer than the turntable itself.
Nailed it ChrisWithanF! There are other options...and MUCH CHEAPER options at that. If you have a minute...could you please elaborate? I want to see my product from everyones perspective. Is it COMPLETELY pointless?

Cool idea. Not sure it'd replace a record collector's storage space/shelves for obvious reasons, but it's a nice display option. And you met your goal, congrats!
thanks man! you're right, i still have my shelves and crates.

I have a signed LP of El Obo, I used to go see CR as often as I could.
damn i doubt there are any LPs left. as you can tell by the merch table...we were kinda obsessed with them. my band played with them for the first time in 2005 and weve kept in touch ever since. great guys, amazing band. wish they couldve "made it". jesse is one of the greatest songwriters.

RIP CR. You heard El Obo? Jesse from CRs solo stuff.

Oh I get it man! Those easels are super cheap compared to the Analog Queue. I've had people show me 100 different options. One thing I've noticed is that people new to vinyl love it. They may only have 25 records...the larger one will hold all their records and display the one "now playing". Anyway...thanks for the kind words.

Whether you feel it or not...Thanks bladie and thethreebeggars for checking out my kickstarter! Have a great weekend.

supplement your IKEA expidit shelves or crates with this storage/display option...

You're right. I'll see myself out.

Whats that matter? Email me at [email protected] if u really want to know. I'm not discussing business here.

Thanks guys. We worked very hard on the marketing aspect. We have had 85 backers in a week... So it is for a specific person. It took me so long to post here because I knew the purist would rip me to shreds.
And again... Aluminum is crazy expensive plus metal work, powdercoating, little rubber feet, shipping, packaging. I'm not Walmart or IKEA. Sorry.

Yep! Everyone was asking about the records falling off the front. We thought this would be a funny way to show how stable the stand was.
-
That is a great alternative ajxd, but I'm not a fan of the look. That's why I made my own. My product isn't for everyone...I understand that.

Let's hear it for overpriced bent metal!
The initial run of the stands is very expensive. I am trying to get the price down. rspkt

kickstarter for a modern looking record display.
easels are lame, crates are bulky, shelves cover up the artwork.

They don't collapse, but they stack nicely.
