Yeah man Coady was blasting the kit! What is your favorite band, Murder City Devils? They are awesome too.
I have never seen anybody hit drums as hard as Shane from KEN Mode, holy fuck. I think he told me that he packed 200 drum sticks for the tour and he had 50 left and they were about half way through their tour. If you haven't seen them go next time they are through your town!

I went to The Missing Link Tour for night 2 in Vancouver on Friday.
I was most excited to see Mastodon since I haven't seen them since the Crack the Sky/Volcom tour in 2010, which was amazing. I caught Clutch in Vancouver on the last tour for Earth Rocker in 2013, and of course they were 100% so I was also looking forward to seeing them again. Having never seen Big Business and been a fan since their beginning I was eager to get in the door early to catch them.
All I can say is that Big Business fucking KILLED it! Lacking the guitar from the albums I was blown away from the 2 piece bass and drums. They were super sludgy, even more so than their albums. These guys gave me a massive musical boner. Got to meet the drummer Coady at the merch table, super nice guy and signed my record sleeve.
Mastodon was up next, I was less than impressed with Troy's vocals. Musically they were great, but I was bummed out about Troy's vocals, I was like he was trying to hard. Brent actually put the most solid vocals down for Mastodon that night, Bran was great considering he is blasting the drums. I got a bad taste in my mouth from Troy, and it was disappointing.
Clutch was 100% as per usual, Neil was Neil, totally awesome. JP was JP totally awesome, Tim and Dan were boring to watch they are not Rock Stars, but played to perfection. I mean if you have seen you know what to expect, a high energy show that is 100% musically there.
Big Business stole the show for me, Clutch came in a close second and Mastodon let me down.
Overall a great show with good merch, picked up Big Business's latest on Clear, Blood Mountain on lime/dark green vinyl, and a Clutch and Mastodon shirt.

Out of interest, just wondering if your Baroness Blue Record turned up? I got home today to a card from Royal Mail saying that they tried to deliver an "international item" but that no one was home for it. It's my copy of the album (as I haven't ordered anything else international).
Will pick it up tomorrow morning.
Looks like mine cleared customs tonight, so should be delivered on Wednesday or Friday. Will be stoked when I finally get them in my hands. Glad everybody is getting their copies.

Received my copy of Floor from that sweet deal from amazon. I also got the clear variant, pretty stoked on it for sure. Thanks again for the link the nacho man Randy Taylor!

As long as I get my shit I'll be happy.
I just don't think the timeline or the customer service from them is acceptable. I know that if, big if, I ever order from them again I will know the process.
Sorry to derail this thread of awesome colors and releases, carry on!
-
I emailed them last week and they said something about processing my order and it would ship soon. I donno. In my notes of "what's coming in" I have:
Baroness - Blue (Someday, whatever.)
So it's not just me, My Order status still says "Processing". Hopefully by the end of the day it changes to "Shipped" and then they will get a not so nice email from me and will not have any mail order business from me again. Too bad because I am loving those sweet "mail order only" variants.
-
Have any of you guys got your Blue/bone merge yet? Or even had a shipping notice?
After an email to Relapse Monday, with no reply and a phone call to customer service(voice mail) today, I finally get a 2 word response from my email. "Shipped: *tracking code*"
So it has taken exactly 2 weeks from order/payment to when the shipping label is created? You have got to be kidding me?
On top of me getting absolutely screwed on the shipping cost, I will get my records about a month after ordering! I am so beyond pissed at Relapse, what a joke, never again will I buy from them directly!
Relapse Records puts out some of my favorite music but the "mail order" sucks my ass...
It is pretty brutal when I can order records from Randale Records in Germany and receive it in less than a week, but ordering from Relapse, in the same continent will take a month?
[/pissy rant #2]
On the plus side I will eventually get my pretty colored Baroness vinyl!

Looks like Floor got delivered today. Can't wait to get home and see if it's actually vinyl.
I still have multiple days of waiting, yay Western Canada!
-
That Floor album is back up to $25 on the ole amazon. So...hopefully it was a real deal.
When I click your link it showed up as $7.18, but if I go to CD then back to Vinyl it changes the price... there looks to be 1 still left in stock @ the $7 price, and multiples at the $23 price.
So heads up to anyone else who wants this deal, make sure you click the link NachoMan posted, or else No Deal For You!

Nice! Welcome to the best thread on the board.
Thanks!

Yeah, I was checking out out last night and it's awesome. I have to save money for now though, so the only thing I grabbed was Floor. (which was just a hell of a deal. I highly suggest 3 of you grab it since there were only 4 available and I got one.)
Thanks for the heads up! I ordered one as well, hoping not to get hit with Duty to Canada, even if I do it will still end up cheaper than getting it from Amazon.ca at $32 plus tax and shipping.

Must resist that blue album repress. I have spent far too much money on records the past month.
Do it, you'll be sad if you don't!

That's crazy man, how can shipping to Canada be so much!? Although I'm in the UK and with shipping it's just over $43! I'm the same, only buy through Relapse for a few choice bands, Baroness, Mastodon, and a couple of others.
Recently discovered that here in the UK if the item is over $25 before shipping, I'll be charged import taxes (plus an £8 handling fee!!). Shipping costs don't seem to be factored in as far as I can tell...
I have no idea, some US company's just love to hurt their friendly northern neighbors, well most actually. The shipping from other record companies in the US charge quite a lot for shipping, but this is the worst I have seen. But as of yet I haven't been changed duty, hoping it is the same for this order.
Even for Mastodon I won't go through Relapse, I'll just stick with the regular black editions for them that I can get through some online dealers in Canada (there are not any record stores within 3hrs drive from my town)
Anyways, Happy Colored Baroness Record Day!
-
So we can buy ourselves Christmas presents!
That Lord Dying looks sweet on the blue/silver merge, but there is no way in hell I am paying basically double to get it here to Canada or any standard black editions.
Relapse can only have my ass for Baroness fancy colors, it's is hard to sit to type this, after $ exchange, outrageous shipping and %20 off I am still paying roughly $37.50 per record. Hopefully I don't get hit with any duty charges on top of that.

Baroness Blue Record is now available on blue/bone merge, just placed my order along with the pink/bone merge of the Red Album!
It's a good thing Baroness is one of my favorite bands because I am getting hurt in the ass for shipping to Canada. But I guess it is worth if for fancy colors that are only available from the mail order.
PS, this is my first post, been lurking a while!
