ZERO GRAV is a science-fiction psychedelic heavy electronic album from PEIISTE (pronounced "peyst"). It is a concept recording themed around space travel and the spiritual significance of vehicles. ZERO GRAV was performed as an improvisation within a controlled structure designed to tell a story, which ends in the final segment "Deep Space Destroyer," which was recorded live in front of an audience last weekend and appears here without overdubbing or remastering. ZERO GRAV represents a more story-telling oriented format to the composition influenced equally by avant garde jazz such as Sun Ra and Ornette Coleman as it is by the psychedelic desert rock of Cactus and Blue Cheer. ZERO GRAV is a pure moment in the progression of this American heavy electronics group.
