  1. i can't remember another time when so many people were disappointed in a release

people were disappointed with Patent Pending? I think I enjoy it start to finish as much as (if not more) than any alkaline trio release... granted, this might be due to over-listening to alkaline trio over the past 6 years or so, but Patent Pending never gets old to me. to each their own, I guess...

People were disappointed in the way the vinyl was released. Read the thread to see the shenanigans.

  2. @pickyourpoisons hey Vinnie, what's the story with the Anthem, INTOC vinyl re-releases at Interpunk. Any fancy colors or limited pressings?

@BShockerER the arent re releases, they are warehouse finds.

This creates a lot of questions. They couldn't be interpunk finds, or else they'd BE IN STOCK, but if they're LTJ finds, why unload them on interpunk instead of their webstore?

  3. I was surprised to see that this album is available on CD as Paper and Plastick were pretty vocal about not releasing CDs. Will there be more Paper and Plastick titles on CD? I should interview Vinnie as I have been thinking about putting out less CDs with Paper and Plastick as my inspiration.

There's an interview somewhere where Vinnie says he decided to start doing CDs because bands needed something to sell on tour. You should interview him anyway, it would be good stuff.

  4. When I saw them last week in Regina, they were quite awesome. I had never even listened to them before so it was a pretty cool experience. Brian seemed to really enjoy the crowed, kept telling us how awesome we were and the whatnot. He actually said we were much better than Calgary but didn't want to go into to detail why (which is funny after seeing CJ's post). During the encore they asked for requests and ended up playing two requested songs. Brian claimed they don't normally do that and we were supposed to brag about it on the internet. Had a 5 song encore I believe, they were on for about an hour and a half.

  5. as others have said, they've been doing one colour and one black for a long time but sometimes they do it, sometimes they don't. I don't think they ever really guarantee coloured vinyl anyway. Gimme Gimmes record last year for example the black got mixed in with coloured. For the Cuban Ballerina LP, they originally only had it on black and clear was made available a few weeks after the initial release.
