  1. I have tried to price these things as fairly as possible. Most of them are not particularly exciting, although there are a couple of nice items in there.

I am open to negotiation and trade offers and will no doubt give a good deal to anyone who wants to buy multiple items. I'm good that way.

  2. Where did you sell your copy? ebay?

I want a Youth Of Today 'Break Down the Walls' LP on Wishingwell Records on color vinyl. Curent market price these days is like $750ish. Could have bought one in 1996 for $90 but said no because I thought that was too much. Also could have bought one for about $300 in about 2003 but thought that was too much too. So now want to grab one before they're going for a grand.

I posted it on the Brand New Livejournal page, google it. Someone made me an offer pretty quickly.

    Good luck man

Hey, thanks for this. Could be just what I am looking for...

  4. There is a certain record that I have my eye on right now that I really want badly. Unfortunately, it is going to cost an insane amount of money. Like $700-800. I'm not happy paying this much for a record really, but I will do so if I can sell a small handful of records I'm not as bothered about and raise that cash... because then it would feel like a trade, and my bank account won't take a big hit.

For this reason, I am now considering selling my white vinyl copy of 'Your Favorite Weapon'.

I bought this thing from Revelation Records distro back when it came out in about 2002. Luckily for me, buying it new meant that I only paid like $10 or whatever for it. What's funny though is that nobody had heard of this band back then, and the only reason I bought it was because the description said it sounded a bit like Saves The Day, who I always kinda liked. I actually bought two copies of this LP, because Revelation had two limited colors of vinyl for sale - white vinyl and blue vinyl. After a year or so I decided I didn't need two copies so I sold the blue one. I kept the white one because I was told that white was the most limited color.

As far as I understand it, the pressing info for this record is as follows:

    100 white vinyl

    300 clear vinyl

    300 blue vinyl

Plus an unknown number on black vinyl

So white is by far the rarest and hardest to find. And it seems it doesn't come up for sale very often. According to popsike, one hasn't sold on ebay for over a year. I don't know if this is correct or not since I don't ever search ebay for this thing.

Anyway, the reason I am posting this is to ask if anyone is interested in buying this. I'm not really keen to let this go, but I will do so if I get a good offer. The only reason I am considering selling is to help fund the purchase of another record. I want to try to avoid ebay if possible, because their fees are pretty high, but I will go to ebay if I don't get any realistic offers.

I've been collecting records since about 1992, and I have always looked after stuff. I can guarantee that this record has been played either once or not at all. Back in 2002 I was still using minidisc, and so I played either the blue vinyl or white vinyl copy once to record it onto minidisc. I never played either again. I have no idea which one I played, hence saying that this record has been played either once or not at all. But regardless, this record is in seriously MINT condition - it has been stored in a poly sleeve on a shelf since I bought it. The only way you could find a better condition copy of this record is if you found a sealed one. More photos can be provided on request.

Finally - the only reason I am thinking about letting this go is to raise money to buy myself another record. A clear vinyl copy of this record just sold on ebay for $450:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-Your-Favorite-Weapon-CLEAR-300-deja-entendu_W0QQitemZ120539021620QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMusic_on_Vinyl?hash=item1c10af8134

However, this copy didn't have the shrink wrap on with the sticker, which mine has. So I'm expecting a similar or better offer for my copy, which is in better condition and is actually rarer. If I don't get a similar offer then I will simply keep this record, it's no big deal.

Please get in touch if you are interested. But please do not waste your time or my time with a low ball offer.

    Thanks!

  5. Hey, this is REALLY freaky.... but I was just on google searching for Redwood Records a few minutes ago to see if I could find any contact details for the old label... and i found a link to this thread!!!

The guy who ran the label was called Chris Smith. I traded records a couple of times in about 98-99. He also did a zine, which I still have somewhere but can't remember the name of. He was a cool guy.

He also used to play bass in a band called Amendment 18, who were on New Age Records. The owner of New Age Records (Mike Hartsfield) was also in the band, so I just sent him an email asking if he has any contact details for Chris. If he gets back to me, I will let you know.

Just for information, in case you didn't know, Redwood also released:

    Inside 7"

    Inside LP

    Metroschifter 7" pic disc

    Impel 7"

Impel / Hundred Words for Snow 7"

    Hope this helps!

  6. Cool that I am now being suggested as a consultant!

Anyway, I would say that there is every chance that this COULD be one of the first fifty on orange. In my experience, orange isn't the easiest color to mix and sometimes you get a lot of different shades in the same run as the plant try to mix the colour properly. For example, the Orange 9mm 12" on Revelation - there are some on orange, and some on this kind of pinky/salmon type color. Same story with the first One King Down 12" on Equal Vision.

As far as I am aware, the orange sleeve is first press. Blue & pink sleeves are later versions.

I took a photo of my orange one. Both discs are different shades of orange, as you can see:

Overall though, I think that it is likely you will probably never know whether this is one of the fifty or just a similar color. My guess would be that it is, but that's just a guess.

  7. The IRL-# that reset were limited edition pressings they started to do. Specifically numbered ones.

And yeah, there are a few missing which bums me out. I'd like a full-on list w/ pressing #s and colors.

    Juan,

This World Rejected was Initial #5.

I did a zine in 1996 which featured a brief interview with Andy Rich, and also included a full discog up to that point.

I'll use that and the info I have in my collection spreadsheet to try to pull a discography together. I'll email it over when I am done...

  8. Hi.

I just spent WAY too much on records this month, so I have decided to try to claw some money back via sales.

Initially I figured I would try to take offers outside of eBay, but if I don't get good offers then it'll just go to eBay.

Please email (DO NOT PM) if interested - marcusxandrews and the gmail and the dot com

Juan can vouch for my reliability if anyone thinks this might be sketchy.

  9. Yeah, but we don't have them facing forward, so that doesn't really mean anything.

It just means that my "right to left" method is based on some kind of sense, that's all. I'm trying to figure out why most people do it left to right. If you could explain your statement that it makes more sense to go from left to right, I would be grateful. Why does it make more sense exactly?

  10. Man, I can't believe you "left to right" people are already the majority!

Here is (I think) a good rgument for my "right to left" method:

If you had your LPs facing forwards in a long line (like record stores do) so that you can browse them by looking at the covers rather than the spines, and if you had A at the front a Z at the back... if you then looked at this line from the side, you would have alphabetical order running from right to left.
