  1. You could get some acid free (archival) removable stickers and just denote which side is which on it. That way it won't damage the label, and you won't have to write directly onto the label.

never thought of this. i like that. i have been thinking about it in a permanant sense. but i like seeing what side i am playing, really obvious, so i might go with this.

  2. I'm not that ocd with my records. i guess with collecting anything there is some degree of ocd. i have just been thinking about stamping it. like those stamps you get on your hand at bars and shows. but just like writting/scribbling, i don't know if i can live with it either. storing a record has never occured to me, but it just might work in this case.

  3. If the labels are blank, I just go ahead and write A and B on it. If there's something worth not defacing, I just wing it.

the labels are identical to each other which hapens to be the cover art. its not that big of a deal to me. i thought about writing and b on them, but i can't even live with my penmanship on burned cds. i have been winging it though.

im just looking for what have people done if they have written on them or have taken another route.

  4. i recently bought a record that has identical labels on boths sides and has no indication of a/b side. the record also has an equal amount of songs on both sides, so it has come down to memorzing the grooves. or if i am just lazy, it doesn't matter to me. does anyone have any records like this and if so, what have you done to make sure you are playing the side you want to hear?

  5. five more? idk... this is bugging the hell out of me now!

you obviously don't want or have not cared about this at all in any sense as much as some of us until now.

I hope you didn't order because you just can't enjoy this record by itself without having a full set of albums because you just now found out this is a set even though its been talked about for years and years.

obviously. never heard about it. don't really like the band. just think this is pretty cool. sorry for trying to get into something.

  6. "The first volume in the 99 Songs of Revolution series, this one by Streetlight Manifesto. Eleven covers, from eleven artists. This ships on or maybe a day or two before 3/16/10."

can some one fill me in on this series? if it is one. so if i am reading this right, this is vol. one of nine? that will continue with other artists up to nine? and is it victory putting this out which means only victory bands will be doing this? any info, i am very interested in this.

  7. Just got mine in the mail today. My Don't Let Her Pull You Down 7" is clear with a TINY bit of aqua in it. Unless you put it against the white slip-cover, you can barely tell.

Also, I guess the last box of clear ones had tiny, almost invisible chips on the very outer edge, so they sent me a few $5 coupons to the online store.

i got an aqua one when they first came out. i noticed a tiny chip on the side and the b-side would skip like a mad-man. hit them up and they sent me another one free of charge. i gave a buddy who wasn't really into nfg that messed up copy since they told me to toss it. he got into them too haha. no bad expierence with these folks at all.
