  1. who the fuck dose this, by the way is the lamest excuse i've heard in some time.

    "Sorry to bother,

but i just realized I already had this LP.

Would you mind refunding me my money?

For your inconvenience I can give you the amount it cost to list the item."

haha awesome. that was me. (ebay user id: shitstroll)

its not an excuse, I do in fact already have the LP. (check HYE list)

though, its funny how you run to VC and complain (cry?) about it.

Even though I did ask for a refund, and re-listing an item is only one click a way, if you find it too hard to refund the money to me go ahead and just send it.

Not that I have anything you'd want you've just been added to my bad buyer ebay block list. I fucking can't stand people who don't take responsibilty for their mistakes. A major problem with this country. Your the crybaby in my mind. If it's so easy to take care of why didn't you just go through with the binding contract you made and sell it yourself when you get it?

    Lazy. Lazy. Lazy.

Also, this is one of the problems with the ebay feedback situation. The buyer has all the control. He can just threaten bad feedback and their is nothing the seller can do about it.

  2. Well i guess none of you guys ever collected vinyl in the early 80's and early 90's. you're lucky if you got your records within 2 months at the least...

Yeah well, I collect vinyl in the 00s and I had to wait 11 months to get mine.

You guys had it so easy.

He bungled this release. Doesn't make him a bad guy and he probably does a good job with other releases, but this one he fucked up.

I'm indy isn't an excuse. There are plenty of other labels who do it right.

  3. No your the one who thinks anyone that decides to spend more than you think is acceptable for a record deserves a punch in the face ::)

Propagandhi in my and many other peoples opinion are one of the greatest punk bands ever, period.

And to think with Todays Empires, Tomorrows Ashes people should only pay $50 Max 'for a record like that' is just stupid

It's a classic and will only become more of a classic with generations to come.

People reguarly pay $50 for fatwreck records that have only just been released that only are a fraction as good as this record is.

Theres a huge market for propagandhi records..and unlike many bands out there that people drop a ton of money on.

This band isn't a band with hype, but rather a band with a ton of substance. and there will ALWAYS be people willing to drop a ton of cash on this record..now and for many many years to come.

Regardless of whether you think the market is artificially inflated or not (which i happen to agree with)

One thing i dont agree with though is people who think there opinion is fact, and try to push it onto others to the point of saying 'they deserve a punch in the head'

i've read your posts for a while now and i know you like the attention and try and stir the pot so really i take most things you say with a grain of salt because like i said. You sir, are an idiot.

Sorry if you don't like what I have to say.

I've collected records for around 15 years now and I had owned a record store for nearly a decade. In that time I've seen certain bands, labels, and styles explode then collapse in terms of price. I guess that is the cyclical nature of everything. However, the current explosion of collectors and labels willing to exploit them with faux limited pressings will eventually lead to these collectors becoming overwhelmed and/or bored with their hobby. At that point the colored variant that you paid $200 for will sell on eBay for significantly less since there will be no one left willing to pay that price for it. Basic "supply and demand" economics. If my pragmatic belief makes me an idiot in your opinion, I'm ok with that.

If you believe Propagandhi is one of the greatest punk bands ever, well, there's now accounting for taste. I suggest you listen to more music.

I'm interested in some examples of what I highlighted above. Can you tell me a 1. band 2. Label 3. Style that exploded in popularity only to have it collapse? How about an album that was very valuable but is now worthless.

I don't mean due to represses but because people stopped caring about the band.

Hope thats makes sense in my ambien haze

  4. Here's a novel thought to avoid overselling and honoring everyone's orders...have a better e-store system that actually reflects current stock and when it's gone, it's gone!

They'd have to buy a new system just to sell this one in demand record. This happens all the time. I've learned to deal with it. Try collecting posters and you get used to it quickly.

Might as well wish for world peace while your at it ;)

  5. There was a similar situation when Aural Exploits was selling the Into the Wild record. People were buying multiples and then they realized they oversold. They ended up changing orders to one copy per person. Not a bad solution. They should do the same here. It'd love to hear all the posting about why people deserve more than one. For the sake of full disclosure, I ordered three at about 6pm eastern time yesterday.

  6. I agree, but I would also appreciate receiving the record I have purchased months and months ago. Paying for a record is fine, but getting it after is even better....

The email address on the hyperrealist website doesn't even work, so my question doesn't even reach the label. I really don't know what to think about that, this is getting strange....

My email to him bounced back too. HE PM me last night so contacting him through here is probably the best way to go.
