  1. Oh man, this is an excellent line-up.

    - All with Mr. R, now that's Just Perfect. Best band on the planet. Wonder when they'll release their two albums (one instrumental)... :)

    - BDC, the best pop punk band.

    - My Name, if you love 90's rock with a mix of Nomeansno and Wretch Like Me. You will love this band. First time they've played for years apparently.

    So jealous!

  2. Hello folks,

been a while since i posted here. I've been trying incredibly hard not to buy/trade anything to save some pennies and avoided VC (although i did go a little crazy on ebay lately!!!) The good news is i am actually clearing out some of my stuff.

I'm looking to sell rather to trade, but if you have some 'dents or ALL to trade then i may do that. :)

I'll probably stick these all on ebay next week. I'm in Europe, so take in mind postal costs. :)

    Good luck!

  3. Requiem is absolutely AWESOME

Great great great album, wonder why FAT didn't put it out? The harmonies by this band are immense!

I got their 2nd album on pink wax in the mail today....great record.

I actually did like them quite a bit.

I remember seeing Diesel Boy when i was 17 or something. Played in a tiny little pub but they rocked! I kind off went of them and sold my CDs. I'll maybe chase up the vinyl ;D

Snuff are another excellent band, not sure if they are underrated though. I remember LTJ supported them last time i saw them.

*EDIT* OK come to think about it, that was in 2000, LTJ weren't so huge then.

  4. i love hi-standard,dude.

same skin colour is not a reason but they're rad.at leats in brentoage's and my opinion....

Haha, Hi-Standard are really good, too. I saw them at Warped Tour in '98 and the only English they knew were the lyrics to their songs and cuss words. It was awesome.

    That's hilarious!

  5. i love all of brackets shit, their amazing, i've always loved them, also the inspection 12 cd on honest don's is fucking one of the best cds ever i can honestly say. also hi-standard was underated, well i'm not sure about japan though. the screw 32 record too, they are one of my favorite bands, amazing record. and the ataris ep was awesome too, that's all i can think of off the top of my head.

Hi-Standard are quite possibly the happiest band on Earth. Love that group!

  6. i listened to consumed the other day for the first time in years and it did absolutely nothing for me.

I just tried listening to them. Ok, so i remove one band from my statement. ;-)

Their first EP is really good, but the full lengths are not so solid - good players all round though.

I then put on the latest Only Crime (a recent popular band) record as a little personnel experiment. The strange thing is i like the majority of bands the members were in (ALL, GWAR, Hagfish, Good Riddance) but this record does little for me. I'd rather listen to Hagfish.

Bracket are one band who are criminally underrated...real shame.

  7. Fat is a an excellent label that puts out a lot of good stuff. Perhaps it's my personal tastes, but I find a lot of albums i LOVE seem to be overlooked. For example, bands that i don't really relate too (and have often went on to bigger and "better" things) seem to be really popular.

Yet here's some examples of bands that i think are overlooked:

Bracket (except the Live in a Dive record, only because it's coloured)

Frenzal Rhomb (A Man's Not A Camel and San Souci are some of the best punk records i have ever heard - i guess they aren't over looked in Oz!)

The Other (RKL on more LSD!!)

    Hagfish

Wizo (overlooked outside of native Germany)

    Consumed

    Any others?
