Sundowner - We Chase the Waves
-
Figures. Soon as I get excited about the Padres, they get swept at home by a division rival. Oh well, Giants are coming to town. Hopefully we can get back on track. The pitching is still lights out.
-
Against Me have always been great everytime I've seen them. They really can't do no wrong in my opinion. I'd go see them if I was you.
-
uhh...Padres?
Its not going to last and even if it does, 2 out of 3 teams absolutely suck. Even if one team is good it doesn't make up for the other two. That and I forgot the Padres even existed when I wrote that, honestly. Add to that the Padres can't compete with a single good team in the AL and there you go.
I'm only a fan of one Socal team, so I could care less about the other two. Its always nice to see the Dodgers struggle. What happened to their pitching?
-
Mat Latos complete game 1 hitter, 0 walks and drove in the only run. This kid is good. The entire rotation and the bullpen have been lights out so far.
I love that we've finally built this team to suit our ballpark. Pitching, Defense, and speed. The Pads lead the league in stolen bases. Everyone on the team has the 'Green Light' to go.
Its been a lot of fun so far. Hopefully they keep it up.

instead they released some mediocre shit rock album with stupid fucking half-assed bullshit songs on some major label with some lame ass title and cover song. Then I guess I should care that their next album is a lame ass "concept" record and kris Roe needs to buy some hair plugs to keep his punk rock hair going...
Dang, I never thought the Ataris could generate a response like that from someone. I love So Long, Astoria. It's their 2nd best album after Blue Skies... Why do you hate the guy so much? Did he do something in particular or do you just hate him cause you don't dig his later albums?

Menzingers - Chamberlain Waits is my album of the year. I can't imagine anything topping it.
I'm loving the Hold Steady 'Heaven Is Whenever', Gaslight Anthem - 'American Slang', and the RVIVR album as well.

The Hold Steady - Heaven Is Whenever
HeartSounds - Until We Surrender

So good except for the first and last song!
I like the whole thing. Great album.

I think I'll make the drive up to the Wiltern
-
Ordered the black 180g and threw in a RVIVR 7". Already got the Paypal invoice from No Idea. They're usually fairly quick with it.

Driving up for the Santa Barbara show tonight from Escondido. Looking forward to the show, not looking forward to the drive. Actually, my brother is doing the driving, so I can't complain.

I prefer Dead to Me. The best thing OMA ever released was the split with Alkaline Trio.
-
I really wish I would've picked up that Chuck/Anderson Family Bluegrass split. The song "Larcena" is amazing.

After that, Kingwood was ok but Machine 15 was terrible. I don't think i'll buy their next album.
I love both of these. I thought Home From Home was pretty boring.
-
Got both of mine on black (cause they sound better) in the mail today.

This has been a really good year for music in my opinion.
Lucero - 1372 Overton Park
Dead to Me - African Elephants
Banner Pilot - Collapser
The Avett Brothers - I and Love and You
Teenage Bottlerocket - They Came From the Shadows
New Found Glory - Not Without a Fight
Chuck Ragan - Gold Country
The Lawrence Arms - Buttsweat and Tears
Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
Tegan and Sara - Sainthood
My biggest disappointment was Frank Turner - Poetry of the Deed
-
Tough choice. Thankfully I was able to go to both last weekend. They were both great shows.
I have to say I was really surprised how great the Revival Tour was considering this years line-up wasn't as stacked as last years, but Jim Ward and Audra Mae were both really good.
Given a choice though, I'd go with Lawrence Arms, Teenage Bottlerocket, Cobra Skulls.
-
FIFA 2010 on the Xbox 360. Been playing a ton online and I still suck. Great game though.
-
They're both great for gaming, but the PS3 does so much more. It's a pretty cool machine.
-
It's sad how much of an asshole this guy has become. I don't even enjoy his music as much anymore.
-
He's just a wild n' crazy guy. Don't give up hope.

Can't wait to hear this.
