i have a demo (or maybe sampler) they came down an played providence when i lived up there and i remember thinking they were going to be the next big thing. it was very lifetime from what i recall but i would have to go back and give it a listen.

one thing i do remember about hot topic is they never process returns to distros. so all the stuff they buy they have to reduce until they sell it. much of this stuff is wayyyy under cost

I just got done at one on Long Island. They didn't have much but I did manage to grab the following:
Killing the dream lp on blue
Shai hulud " misanthropy pure" on yellow
Coheed 2xlp on 180g
All for $11.00
They had a bunch of shai hulud, throwdown and fueled by ramen 7"s
Everything else was pretty much gone

No. Actually I was in a band that was on Good Life many years ago. It was during the whole s. florida, good life connection that was growing in popularity during the mid to late 90s. I always thought a lot of those bands from there would break here in the states. The kindred stuff is pretty rad as far as I am concerned. It reminds me a lot of culture actually...

as far as gray before my eyes, for some reason i loved that band and the band that followed, song of kerman. there is something about those vocals.

i was thinking the same thing. kind of like those coffee shops were you have to give a book in order to take a book. i always wanted someone to release a record with those old school library punch out cards in them so it lets you know who owned the record and for how long....

My house took 5 and a half feet of water during Hurricane Sandy. Unfortunately it wiped out a good 1/3 of my collection, if not more. Even though it was all raised well above the expected waterline, there was no way we anticipated that much water. After sifting through records that sat in still water for days, I decided it wasnt worth saving as the jackets and records were covered in soot.
Most of these records are pretty low price records so I was hoping someone had a combined lot they would be willing to sell to save on shipping. If you happen to have any of these, let me know.
