Update from Viva Hate on this:
The “PELICAN WOODEN BOX” contains the following albums:
Pelican – What We All Come To Need
Pelican – Ephemeral
Pelican – City Of Echoes
Pelican – March Into The Sea
Pelican – The Fire In Our Throats In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw
Pelican – Australasia
Pelican – Untitled
Pressing info:
150 copies on white vinyl
350 copies on black vinyl
I love Pelican, especially "What Me All Come To Need"
So I was somewhat interested if it was new material, but I have most of these so there's no point in buying them all again!
I'd rather they just put out a new EP/LP on Southern Lord. Viva Hate sucks.

I had one of those Home Depot units before and I remember them being JUST too small for records, in that the sleeve was slightly off the edge of the shelf. It might not be the biggest deal but I remember thinking that could potentially cause some sleeve damage.
That is if you are a freak and care about that sort of thing.
Yeah, they hang off the edge about a 1/2" but it doesn't bother me at all, enough of the record is ON the shelf that the weight it distributed to that portion and not the overhanging bit. I've had LP's on these things for 7-8 years and there's no signs of damage whatsoever.
And since they have a back on them they're pretty perfect imo, (as opposed to the Ikea Expedite, which has no back support)

The shelves are actually three 9 cube units, which were about $70/each and you buy them in a box and assemble it yourself at home with nothing but a screwdriver, hammer and Allen key (ala IKEA style). And the other darker units are the first ones I bought (before records took over my life) and those are simple 2 cube units, and I have 3 of those arranged in different ways.
All in all it works together into a nice unit, although it's close to full and I'm out of room to put any more shelving!

he is being modest he does youtube videos that I LOVE!
and he talks about vinyl and he is from Canada...I wish I was a famous celebrity so I could hide from my adoring fans.
Haha, this is weird, it's like I have a real fan!
What kind of shelves are those?
Home Depot
Here's an updated pic btw, it's filled in since the last one, haha!

That Misfits, Famous Monsters album shouldn't count, that was the begining of the Jerry Only experience and the end of the Misfits.
Haha, oh I know. But I've always loved the track "Scream".

GBTG: Welcome to the board, nice job on those collections!
How is the sound on that Stones boot?...I think it's called "Will Keith Make The Show?" or something like that.
And what color is that copy of Apocalypse Dudes?
Thanks man!
It's not the best, it's the 1971 Australian show that's been widely bootlegged elsewhere.
Apocalypse Dudes is just the standard domestic black pressing.

What's the Conor record in the center of that photo?
It's Bright Eye's "Cassadaga", the shrinkwrap had the artwork sticker on it but I removed it. And it comes with a 'viewfinder' that you drag over the cover to decipher the artwork, it's really cool!
i'm wondering what the envelope is?
It's indeed a letter that he sent to someone from prison, I got it from a third-party friend for no cost at all. It's all in his handwriting, it's kinda cool.
My Manson interest has died off quite a bit since then though, I was enthralled in that case for a long time, now...not so much, but their still cool conversation pieces!
Sweetest Thunders collection ever. WANT !Thanks man, that was the first artist I REALLY REALLY collected, so that's why it's so big. Some of those bootlegs from 82-84 are so hard to find, it's ridiculous!
Wow, kick ass Neil Young collection! Thanks man, it's my baby, haha. Still looking for the Eldorado 12" EP though!

I hadn't splurged in a while!
So I had some extra money today after paying some bills and thought I'd hit up Melodiya for the last day of the overstock sale.
Gotta love employee discounts!
