Truth And Janey - Topeka Jam 2-LP. Excavated from the archives of a long-time roadie and brought back from the brink of disintegration comes this double album collection of live recordings made over several nights in Topeka, Kansas circa 1974. The celebrated Iowa hard rock trio are captured here in raw form doing what they did best, stretching out into extended jam sessions featuring heavy guitar action from Billylee Janey, booming fuzz bass from Steve Bock, and Denis Bunce locked in the zone behind his drum kit. "Midnight Horsemen," originally released as as 3-minute single in 1972, is featured here as a side-long 22-minute jam and is a prime example of vintage Truth and Janey. Also included are several previously unreleased songs which have not been heard in over 40 years, as well as early versions of "Down the Road" and "My Mind," from their 1976 underground hard rock classic debut album, "No Rest for the Wicked."

Side One ::  Midnight Horsemen (22:34)
Side Two ::  Help Me (6:53)  Country Fever (6:08)  My Mind (7:17)
Side Three ::  Trains Must Roll (19:54)
Side Four ::  Cut and Dried (4:44)  Down the Road (4:51)  Around and Around (4:29)

    • Limited Edition of 500 copies
    • All previously unreleased recordings, including tracks not heard in over 40 years.

Limited edition (100) coke bottle clear vinyl will be available exclusively from the Rockadrome online shop!

  2. I bought the Season of Mist deluxe package when it dropped. Wish I would have known another would pop up as I rather have the t-shirt over the poster. Oh well.

I bought this deluxe Green/Purple haze Deluxe set when it first dropped from SOM:

The original deluxe package from Season of Mist is a 2xLP this new deluxe package looks like it's only a single LP. I'll stick with the 2xLP any day.

  3. Green limited to 500.

    Black limited to 1500.

Clear limited to 2000 (Euro only).

    Pic disc limited to 1000.

Is this wrong? Where did it come from?

On the Southern Lord Site (www.southernlord.com/sleep.php) it says:

    Green limited to 3,500

    Black limited to 1,500

Clear limited to 2000 (Euro only -unless you get package deal).

Pic disc limited to 1,000 (500 available through mail order and 500 on tour)

I bought the black because it was the most limited (not including the pic disc).

  4. Had Baseman, but let it go because with 6 left to go there has to be something better looking. So far the only one I am interested in is the Haze XXL. If need be I'll get it off ebay. Will continue to wait out other variants and see what develops.

Yeah the Haze is pretty badass looking. I heard a rumour Kozik was doing something for this, but I didn't want to miss out on this.

The Haze one is such a Steve Ditko ripoff!

  5. This looks pretty mean. I'm having a hard time shelling out the 14.00 PPD for a 5" record (and the 2 screen prints) but I can feel my will weakening the more I look at this killer layout.

I don't get it. You don't have to get both prints. You can pick one and it will only cost $8.50 PPD

I'm not that big of a fan of the prints. I love that big fold out megasus though!

  6. BTW, Trev told me that the songs are called:

Your Love (The Outfield cover), Henley's Lament, Mustaine, and Chipping Away (Night Ranger Cover).

I listened to the Night Ranger version of "Chipping Away" and sounds nothing like the AWS version. Not even the lyrics are the same...are you positive its a cover?

Nah I'm not sure if it's the actual cover. Trevor told me the song was called Chipping away, I'm not a Night Ranger fan so I don't know the original well, just figured that the guys were goofing on it.

  7. just pointing out that they're dedicated dudes who love what they do and have never cared too much about making bucks off it. as far as i know they're just in it for the free new balances.

Honestly, I think you are wrong to put it that way. They want to make enough money to be able to continue to do it for a living. Not saying that they would compromise their values to make money, BUT having people buy their music, merch, and show tickets ensures that they can eat, pay for gas, pay their tour manager, pay for vehicle repairs, etc., etc.
