Im wondering what kind of wattage do i need from a marantz reciever if im running 2 speakers and a 12" sub?

alot of you guys and gals have been listening to vinyl for a while what are some great sounding speakers that have great hi and mid response? for under 500

I have been doing alot of research and a few people have told me to go with rega, music hall, or pro ject. My concern is getting a good player that you dont have to mess with the belt to listen to different speeds any sugestions?

right on. Hey do you write the vinyl file column for amp? If so I really enjoy it, reading the whole interview with the silverstien/hotwater collecter guru, and seeing all the new releases out there, you are the reason I have just got into vinyl over the last month!!! and might i add you then are the cause for me spending over 200 bucks on records!! I got some really good ones though through vinyl collective and my local zia records.

I found it Buying minus the bears planet of ice dbl lp on white/grey at zia records in vegas. I looked on the back of the lp and saw the stamp on the bottom and decided if they put this out they gotta have other cool stuff!

Hey friends. Got a quick question, I have pretty recently got into vinyl and I picked up a cheap turn table for about 100 bones at quitar center its one of the "portable" players you can put batteries in the bitch and take it on your journeys. Any way is it worth uprgrading the needle? THe reason i got it in the first place was i live at home and cant really hook it up to an external sound system its got a small speaker on board. Any suggestions on turn tables for the future, needles, help me out here im new!!
