That's hilarious, when I made the thread I wasn't sure if people were going to be confused. I'm sure a duct tape vinyl would sound like shit. It would be pretty cool to see though.

If you're a fan of Dillinger (their drummer is in the band), Everytime i die, or just good punk/hardcore you should check this out. The guitarist & bassist/singer also used to be in NK if you've heard of them. They're a local band from long island so I figured you guys might like this.

i got a copy of the clear blue from the forest hills show. i would love to trade it for the orange/black one.

Not really sure what the point is with these kinds of posts. Like you're taking a stand by ordering it for the same price but only after the fact? And then everybody is being a cool guy and saying they hope everybody who wanted red gets black? Because...?

 

i'm not going to be ordering it for the same price. it's supply and demand. the point is that i don't care for spending $40+ dollars on a record that i have a feeling will go for a lot less. i really do hope that people get their red copies, but lets be serious, they probably wont.

 

there are people who ordered multiple copies (who might get ONE red, and have 2+ blacks). & the flippers. they'll put them on ebay, where i can them pick them it for like 20-25 bucks, since there will so many copies floating around. or maybe if/when amazon US gets it i might get it for $20. (assuming that this is a 10k+ pressing)

 

its a bit of a gamble im willing to take. either way, i dont think im going to spend $30+ on this and it makes me happy cause i had just sold my blue copy in june to help pay for a car. but if i don't get it, then its not a big deal either.

Quick tip..while an IP ban is easy to get around, an actual physical address is not.

 

What you guys should do is have a state/address finder of sorts.

 

Basically, what you can do  is make a sub forum/section (or even just a thread), where only moderators can post. Then in each forum, you can post the information of the scammer. Address/name/zip code/paypal email. Then basically whenever shipping or trading a record, people can just go into that thread use the search function, and see if anyone in the zip code they were shipping to is a scammer.

 

for example, let's say i'm trading a record to someone in Manhattan. I'd go into the thread, and search the zip code (10010) that the other person sent me and if there are any scammers in that zip code, the posts would be highlighted/shown. Then, if the address shows, or if the name is the same, then i'd know not to ship it to that person because they're a proven scammer.

 

i think it'd be a good idea too, because it would discourage people from scamming in fear of having their information publicly posted, and to take the whole process a lot more seriously. the only drawback is that i think it'd mostly add protection for trades/sellers, but its better than nothing.
