A dude's selling a Thorens TD 150 for 120 bucks. What is it worth? It is in need of a new cartridge, but otherwise good condition he says.

Hey guys, I’m planning on upgrading the integrated amp portion of my set up and I’ve narrowed it down to either the NAD 3020 V2 or a Marantz PM5005. I like the size and simplicity of the NAD but Marantz are timeless. Thoughts on either would be greatly appreciated!

Hi. I have had an Audiotechnica LP60 turntable for almost two years now. As I have some Christmas cheddar to spend on some new goodies for myself (and most definitely will I be buying a couple of LP's) what upgrades should I make? So far, I am debating whether to get the following:

1. A New Slipmat (the one I have I really don't like)

2. A new stylus (this one might be for down the line, as it hasn't done 400 hours of playback yet)

3. A new belt (I think my turntable runs a bit fast)

What would you recommend? I know that some members don't like the LP60, but it works for me.

$300-$500 budget. What is the consensus on current turntable on the market. I’ve listened to so many over my years and looking for new mid level. My current is a wonderful early Technics that I bought me in ‘84.

I picked up a Pioneer PL-4 for free and cleaned it up nice. It turns/changes speeds well, light doesn’t flicker, but the one problem it does have is that the tone arm constantly auto returns when I try to move it at all.
