Tenement - Napalm Dream
Bangers - Small Pleasures
Former Cell Mates - Presented As A Work Of Fiction

Haruki Murukami - A Wild Sheep Chase.
As with all his stuff, it's pretty odd. Really hypnotic, ends up obsessing me for days on end.

80 + 13 + 15 = 108%
maybe wikipedia isn't the best source?
Ah yeah, 80% white + Latino, 13% black. I deserve a slap for that. My bad.

Dude look at some facts. 56% of people executed since 1976 were white. Also, no need to be PC with that "(wo)man" thing. Only 12 women have been executed since 1976.
80% of the USA is white (according to Wikipedia, the footnote from the US Census Bureau) as opposed to 13% black and 15% Latino. Black minors being charged as adults being a more frequent occurance, I'd say it's worth bringing up. Maybe these aren't the facts you wish me to look at?
Also, the (wo)man thing - I don't see the problem. How about (trans)wo(
man) - is that better? -
Proven not to be a deterrent, tends to be used against the poorest (and darkest) members of society, has no place in civilised society.
I can understand why people can feel a criminal deserves to die (and have felt like that myself sometimes) but I think if an innocent (wo)man dies than the system is wrong.

I started at 16, I'm 27 now so 11 years. I don't consider myself a ~collector~ but buy a lot of records so probably am one.
I used to skive off school and dig round the record shops in Newcastle. Now, I leave work and dig round record shops. Beats working!

I've been making my way through a ton of British music documentaries the past two weeks. The BBC's Britannia series is great.
I concur. I think my favourite was the Synth Britannia, the electro-pop one. No idea why, other than Everything Counts by Depeche Mode I don't like electro-pop!
The Comics Britannia series was great too.

Frankie Boyle's non-televised stuff isn't always that shocking, he can talk quite interestingly about books and socio-political stuff. His tv show was awful though.

Doug Stanhope
Reginald D Hunter
Frankie Boyle
Simon Munnery (maybe the best stand-up of the past 20 years)
Richard Herring
Stewart Lee
Johnny Vegas is one of my favourites but not sure how well he'll translate outside of England.

I use a Mamiya 7II and pretty much always Fuji Pro 400H. Used to like busting out the Tri-X with my old RZ but I sold it (miss that 75mm shift!) but don't shoot much black and white these days.

Bit worried about a 50 year old man using the term "lulz". But yeah, what A-Money! said.

Superchinchillarescuemission/The Tim Version split.

It took a lot of putting up with The New What Next by Hot Water Music. I try to pretend it was by The Draft.
Can understand why Against Me! hurt so many people's feelings, I was never that convinced he was convinced.
Also: Rilo Kiley's last album and Shades Apart's last two albums, urgh. I'm also hoping Realism by Magnetic Fields was a mere detour from the good shit.

Twin Peaks is awesome. Creepy, funny and created characters to care about. The movie's not very good though.

Hmm, with about ten minutes worth of thinking involved:
Bob Mould
Frankie Stubbs
Malcolm Middleton
John Reis
Kristin Hersh
Jeff Burke
Isaac Hayes & David Porter
Norman Blake, Gerard Love & Raymond McGinley
Stephin Merritt
Robert Pollard

Noam Chomksy's work can be a bit dense but the books published of him in conversation with others tend to flow a bit better. Perilous Power by Chomsky and Gilbert Achcar is a pretty interesting book about the Middle East and American foreign policy.

Love Caves. That 7" was probably the best thing I heard last year. Roll on the album!

Red House Painters - Down Colorful Hill
While none of Kozelek's work is ever anything but mournful, this really is the soundtrack to realising it's probably not worth living any longer.

I shoulda put in an under-cutting quote for the wedding photography. Hey, I'm paying for it anyway!

Really really like Glenrothes. Kinda smokey. But Macallen, Talisker and Springbank are all favourites too.
Side note - The best album to drink whisky to is Superchinchillarescuemission/The Tim Version split.
