  1. how many people here have actually worked in a record store, as an adult? I cant speak for anyone at reckless, but I would guess its not the most financially rewarding career, probably doesnt come with health insurance, and done more out of love for music and vinyl itself. jesus, if they get one, ONE, opportunity a year to buy something like this before the general public, then I'd support that. hell, let them flip it on ebay too.

Oh please. Yeah, I'm sure record store employees buy up super limited pressings before the paying public so they can offset their health insurance costs. lol

  2. FYI, nobody was waiting at Reckless at 6am for this. Apparently the first people to show up was 8:20 when another person who was waiting since 7 got out of their car and joined them. Another person who showed up at 9am was the last person to receive a copy. Im not gonna get mad at Reckless for this. Prob because I love their stores and they usually deliver the goods on RSD (BTW, how did u not get any copies of Ryan Adams - Class Mythology last RSD? Haha) Its really nothing new for store clerks to get first crack at releases. Personally I think they probably deserve some extra benefits because Im guessing record store clerks probably dont get paid that great. Also, Im probably biased because Ive never been crazy about the whole limited TMR thing anyways (minus the Jeff The Brotherhood - Live at TMR release, which rules!).

I think its pretty clear why they didn't have any copies of DRA Class Mythology for sale on RSD.

  3. If these are really just ending up in the hands of the record store employees and owners, thats pretty poor. I mean, isn't the point of all this to be a bit of a "thank you" for those of us who still buy physical music? I mean, it takes a pretty big fan to go stand out in the cold at 6am for a 7'' single. I really have no horse in this TMR race, but I've dealt with record stores on RSD that have pulled the same stuff.

Maybe TMR should just auction all the tri's for charity to begin with? Seems like a good way to do it.
