Thomas got a lot of flack about doppelganger being overly produced. However, I think that album is a masterpiece. People claimed its not how they sound "live", but I think the spaceyness of that record perfectly captured tfot's live sound.

And yeah, they made manipulator more raw to try and appease the complaints I think. However, the s/t is as raw of a record that we saw from tfot.

I just sold a copy on ebay for 170 and this is my last copy.

Why does a repressing of a jimi hendrix album go for barely anything but AN ORIGINAL PRESSING goes for hundreds of dollars?? Because its more rare thats why. There were only 250 pressed of doppelganger for a total of 500. Now they are making twice that much. Common sense.
