  1. as I stated earlier....Bad Religion and NOFX have been putting out the same album for decades now....with no intention of growing their fanbase or bowing to MTV/Radio/Major Labels, just the same microwaved dog-poop over and again. It's a bit lame, but they still have fans old and new that want that same album with slightly different lyrics that talk about the same thing again and again....that's fine. Growing as a band and as individual musicians/songwriters is great too....but I don't hear newer A.F.I. as a legitimate musical growth in any direction...just, cutting out the "Punk" and going straight for goth-tinged Pop-Rock....which sells, and that's great for them, I'm sure they've made some decent money and are happy and perfectly fine with their decision...and I'm sure they probably still put on a good live show. But for me, it's quite a bit bland and sterile for my enjoyment....but, fuck, I'm getting older, I'm probably just a jaded old bastard or something

I really want to hear Bad Religion's "Into The Unknown". It sounds hilarious.

  2. I think my love of Refused has died quite a bit because of the reunion. Well, not so much that they reunited, but more for what they are charging for said shows. Total fucking buy in.

Agreed. Especially considering their last show was in a basement in arlington, va in 1998. Which leads me to believe that they might be terrible live now which would lead me further to laugh my ass off at the people that drop $150 to see them.

Remember before they wore sweaters and black bowl cuts? "Pump the brakes" was solid. they used to remind me of a swedish gorilla biscuits. Don't get me wrong, shape of punk to come was awesome but i'm so sick of new noise it no longer lives up to its title.

Oh now to the purpose of the thread, a day to remember is the bane of my fucking existence. and i dont mean they're up there with bane, i mean i pray the band lose their arms and the singers vocal cords are chewed out by a lynx.

  3. Im guessing a Black Flag or Misfits reunion is next.

they did a black flag reunion with keith morris in either november or december. they're always doing them, they are just usually really low key and are always missing someone. i think it was in long beach or something but it had keith morris, chuck dukowski and i think robo on drums. And don't forget the black flag reunion where mike vallely sang for them. oh mike v.

  4. What's everyone's best find? Mine would have to be Naked Raygun's "Home" 7 inch on clear green vinyl for a buck at Cow records in Ocean beach. Not in mint condition, the sleeve was a little banged up because raygun always seemed to put out their singles in paper sleeve. But considering there was only one pressing and it was in 89 it was in pretty good condition for a buck! and the record itself was supreme! being a raygun fanatic i was thrilled. 2nd best would be Alkaline Trio's Halloween 7 inch for 40 bucks on ebay. Doesn't sound like a steal but thats a tough one to find under $100 because the only place you could get it was at the halloween show at the metro in chicago. Skiba's cover of "halloween" was pretty cheesy but the trio's cover of "Children In Heat" on side be is pretty cool if you ask me, actually sounds more like old bad religion doing the cover.

  6. Hey, I was wondering if I can get an input on this. I have a copy of ballot result by the Minutemen that I picked up new at Taang! records in San Diego. It's not a limited pressing or anything, but the labels on the records themselves are just green with no writing at all. I've checked ebay and other sites and every copy of this album I come across has the labels. I know SST is a relatively small operation but I was wondering if anyone else out there has come across misprints with SST's records before and (I know the old saying "it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it") I was wondering if it might go up in value due to the misprint. Thanks and have a good one!

  7. Hey,

I'm trying to track down a few things. If you have one and are willing to part with it let me know and maybe we can work out a trade or purchase.

Naked Raygun- Raygun...Naked Raygun (Original or Reissue, both are proving to be hard to come by)

Murder City Devils-Three Natural Sixes EP

    The Broadways-Broken Van

    Pegboy-Strong Reaction

    The Humpers-Plastique Valentine

    The Effigies-Remains Nonviewable EP

Thanks and have a good one!

  8. this couldnt have come at a better time, I was thinking about this album the other day and tried to find it on ebay and all I could find was the cd for 40 dollars which is ridiculous.

I wonder whats gonna happen with all the awesome records from when trustkill had an awesome lineup before they trashed their reputation. It seems like there wasnt alot of hopesfalls stuff on trustkill pressed, all Ive seen was no wings to speak of and its currently selling on ebay for 65 bucks. as opposed to poison the well. I picked up the opposite of december and tear from the red double vinyl for like 8 bucks.
