For those who are unaware, Great Sale Day are a new band who play a nostalgic blend of alt rock, for fans of Blue album-era Weezer, Nada Surf and Ozma. Largely considered a side project by it's four members, Great Sale Day was formed as way for Andrew, Ed, Daniel and Ben to step away from their other bands and take things a little less seriously.
The 12" is available through Close To Home Records on White vinyl /100 or Transparent Blue /200.
Full stream / digital download: https://cthrecords.bandcamp.com/album/wild-and-chunky (Spotify coming soon)

I've got about 7 copies of this album already and not one has come in the mail yet. #8 here I come!
On behalf of the other labels involved, I can say that it's extremely likely that your records are now finally on there way to you at the moment. The only one you'll now be waiting on is if you order one of our UK pressings, as it's not out until July 14th.

Awesome! Thanks for the support!

Thanks guys! Only one Collector's Pack left.

We just announced the UK / European release of the debut LP from California's Of Us Giants.
Original post / more info - http://closetohomerecords.com/post/87608922343/of-us-giants-nova-scotia-uk-release-update
Pre-order’s are now live for the Of Us Giants - ‘Nova Scotia’ UK pressing which comes on Mystery Marbled Vinyl along with exclusive UK only artwork by Essex-based artist Jed Desbrow.
Aside from picking up the album on it’s own for £9.99, you can purchase the Collector’s Pack for £22.99 which features all three colours, or the Close To Home U.S.A Bundle in which you get two CTH 12”s for just £12.99. Orders will ship from July 14th.
For those who are unaware, Of Us Giants are a California-based band who play a blend of indie and pop-rock for fans of Balance and Composure, Manchester Orchestra and anything released through Fuelled By Ramen circa 2005. This is their debut album.
One last thing - it’s available for free download until Pre-orders come to a close. You can take advantage of that by heading over to https://cthrecords.bandcamp.com/album/nova-scotia

I'm bored with some of my collection so I wanna trade them. Don't really know what I'm after in particular but I'll also consider selling them, just trades are preferred.
I'd probably consider taking most RFC / No Sleep style pop punk / emo records although it's worth noting I already have all the Basement and Title Fight records (apart from Secret Society).
If you've got anything you think I might be interested in and want something from the list, give me a message!
7"
Ark Of The Covenant - Demo (White w/ Blue & Green splatter)
Brutality Will Prevail / Hang The Bastard - Split 2x 7"
Closure / Mouth / Torn Apart / Bonestorm - Split 2x 7" (Black)

I loved Averman's EP's, I didn't know they were still together though, I thought they broke up a while ago?
Was about to say this. Either way, this is a nice surprise!

Anyone see Liverpool v Everton last night?
Wanted to see Everton win, purely because I like seeing Liverpool lose. Saying that, the first goal was a beauty.
-
Thanks, haha. The rest are pretty easy to find I think. I'm not 100% on what tapes there are that have been released but apart from the Record Release IWICSH I think the rest of the vinyl wont be too hard to find.
-
Basically I've been slacking on the collection since IWICSH came out. Help me fill in the gaps. This is what I already own:
12"
Basement | I Wish I Could Stay Here | Black w/ UK Tour Screen Printed Cover /80
Basement | I Wish I Could Stay Here | Green /300
7"
Basement | Songs About The Weather | White /200
Basement | Songs About The Weather | Blue /100
Basement | Songs About The Weather | Green /200
Basement | Songs About The Weather | Red /294
Basement | Songs About The Weather | Yellow/Orange /100
Tape
Basement | Two Songs | Blue /50
Basement | Two Songs | Green /50
Basement | Two Songs | Red /50
Basement | Two Songs | Yellow /50
Prints
Basement | Royal Rumble MMX Screen Print | 1/25
Basement | Songs About The Weather Artwork Screen Print | #/25
Basement | Songs About The Weather Record Release Print | #/15
Basement | Home Town Show Flyer Print (Blue) | #/25
So I'm looking for anything that ISN'T on that list.

Burial - Street Halo is probably my most listened to.
However another favourite would be this, even for the artwork alone:

Been a vinyl collector for quite some years, known about this forum for a while but never signed up until recently.

Favorite Bands:
I listen to a lot of different stuff, but my favourites are all pretty similar. Blink-182, Man Overboard, Title Fight, Basement, Joyce Manor, Shook Ones, Lifetime... you get the idea.
Hobbies (outside of record collecting):
I'm a DJ (which means my vinyl collection also spreads across dance music), run a record label, in a band and that's about it!

Random things you want us to know about you:
I was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2009 when I was 17, I'm 20 now and doing just fine. Still have chemo once a month until Feb 2013, but I don't actually have cancer anymore. On a lighter note, I watch a lot of The Office (UK and US), Parks and Rec, anything to do with Ricky Gervais and football (or soccer for a lot of you guys, I guess!). I support West Ham United as you can tell by my avatar.
-
I think the real joke of the season has been Liverpool.
True. and Chelsea. and QPR.
Also, this happened today then... bit of an over reaction to losing 1-0 away, even to Swansea.
-
Saves The Day gone!
-
Is it cheating if I'm just linking to my own record label?
There's only one thing up there at the moment but it's free, FFO pop punk.
-
let's all laugh at Spurs
Yes, let's
Not that I can be too cocky, with West Ham drawing with Doncaster at home.

Paramore gone!

I know I'm a new user so I guess I better post some references... ebay: joehartxxx and deadformat: xjoehartx (although I haven't used DF in quite some time).
Also I run this: http://facebook.com/cthrecords (on that note, I've got a few records up for sale here as well - http://cthrecords.bigcartel.com/).
