necronomidom
OCTOBER LABEL UPDATE HERE: http://manindeclinerecords.com/2014/10/october-2014-update/ -- http://manindeclinerecords.com http://store.manindeclinerecords.com https://soundcloud.com/man-in-decline-records/sets http://manindeclinerecords.bandcamp.com https://www.facebook.com/manindeclinerecords Hello and welcome to the October update for Man In Decline Records. We have three new releases this time around, so let’s get right to it. NEW RELEASES DAMAGED HEAD "TUNNEL VISION" LP Following their one-sided, screen-printed 12″ EP, DAMAGED HEAD quickly returned to the Communichaos Media Clay Station to record this new full-length with Kenko (Burning Kitchen, Meanwhile, Dischange). This LP picks right back up where they finished on the EP: fast hardcore that is equally influenced by the US classics and Scandinavian legends like TOTALITÄR. The music for this record was recorded in just under an hour (!!!) and it’s exactly what you would expect from a band comprised of members of HERATYS, INSTITUTION, AGENT ATTITUDE, NITAD, and VREDESMORD. Listen for yourself: [bandcamp]track=3697030322[/bandcamp] Tunnel Vision is available on red, clear, and black. See the release page for details on pressing numbers, etc. GET TUNNEL VISION HERE: http://store.manindeclinerecords.com STUN EVENT “S/T” 7” STUN EVENT was started by former OUT COLD members, Kevin Mertens and John Evicci, after their recent collaboration on OUT COLD’s posthumous release: A Heated Display. Kevin Mertins had been the original singer for OUT COLD and he rejoined the band on vocals in order to help them complete their final recordings after the tragic passing of the band’s primary songwriter: Mark Sheehan. After their collaboration on A Heated Display, John and Kevin decided to start a new project, and they included John’s brother, Fred (another OUT COLD alumnus). These six songs are the first recording from the band. Musically, STUN EVENT provides a fresh take on a genre that can be predictably derivative. The familiar elements are there but they’re executed in such a way that the maturity of the musicianship and songwriting comes through. There are nods to early punk influences from disparate and somewhat unexpected sources: like THE FIX or NEGATIVE APPROACH playing “Paranoid Time” but the end result is all their own. Listen for yourself: [bandcamp]track=2814528902[/bandcamp] Stun Event is available on red and black. See the release page for details on pressing numbers, etc. GET STUN EVENT HERE: http://store.manindeclinerecords.com THE NUKES “FASCIST PERVERTS EP” 7” The Nukes play hardcore punk that sounds like it was conceived in that glorious period between 1978 and 1981 when punk was speeding up but hardcore had not fully developed as a distinct sound all its own—think: THE NUBS (SF), THIS IS BOSTON, NOT LA-era GANG GREEN AND F.U.’s, ANGRY SAMOANS and newer bands like CAREER SUICIDE. On Fascist Perverts, the band tears through 6 songs in less than 7 minutes and the no-frills approach works to punishing effect. The Nukes are a band with tons of promise and we hope this is the first of many recordings by the band so they can take their place as the next addition in a long list of venerated CHICAGO bands. The new LP, entitled “Sorrows of Youth” contains 8 songs that build on the formula of their earlier releases: surf-drenched early punk with female lead vocals and lots of melody. Think DANGERHOUSE records, The ADOLESCENTS, and MASSHYSTERI. Guitarist, Will Kinser, was a member of RED DONS and that influence comes through as well. Listen below for a sample of what to expect. This is, by far, their strongest material to date and we’re honored to be releasing it. [bandcamp]track=3773331391[/bandcamp]
