Neolithic
"G-WHIZ is the best band you've never heard of. Glad to see ‘Hook’ finally coming out on vinyl. Buy this record. It's that good." – Bill Stevenson (Descendents, All) "I always looked forward to playing Phoenix, so I could hear the ear candy, pop-punk sound of G-WHIZ." – Dave Naz (Chemical People) "Whoa, there‘s an unexpected blast from the past!" – Paul Curran (Crimpshrine, Take A Day Records) Arizona’s G-WHIZ were/are the arid-climate cousins to bands like All, Descendents, Big Drill Car, Chemical People, Hard-Ons, just to name a few. From the late 80s throughout the mid 90s, G-WHIZ were THE staple band in the Phoenix / Mesa / Tempe punk scene. Originally released only on compact disc, this 1994 pop-punk cult classic is now on VINYL for the first time ever! “...Hook”, arguably G-WHIZ's best material, is their ten-track follow-up to their first LP, “Eat At Ed’s”. In the past G-WHIZ have famously worked with Greg Sage (Wipers), released a split 7” ep with Bay Area legends Crimpshrine, as well as release countless other splits and solo records along the way. This reissue of “...Hook” has been remastered with an extra boost for vinyl, and includes all-new & updated artwork and photos. First 100 MAILORDER copies on special colored vinyl. DOWNLOAD CODE included.
