Kevin Devine tweeted earlier about this project the he was recently a part of- Tease, Torment, Tantalize, which is a series of covers in tribute to the 30th anniversary of The Smiths debut.

I've never quite been able to get into The Smiths, but this lineup has just the right combination of unexpected bands that I already quite like. 

This came out on March 24th, and you can sample it with the link above. Doesn't look like there will be a physical copy of any sort.
