Guest Admin
Last week when Joey Cape came through Denver with Lagwagon, we stole him for half the day. During this time, I sat down with him and did an interview. In this interview, Joey discusses his debut solo album, "Bridge", life on the road, Bad Astronaut and Lagwagon, Vinyl, and when asked what he has been listening to lately, he says that he is really digging Ninja Gun's "Restless Rubes". Our good ole buddy Jon Snodgrass also makes a quick phone call during the interview to round out the family affair. We did a video interview and Ralph took the audio from the interview, got Andy to do an introduction, and put together a podcast with a few songs from Joey Cape's "Bridge" as well as the Ninja Gun song, "Red State Blues". I know what you are thinking, "man those guys sure are technologically savvy: Youtube Channel, Twitter, Podcasts, and now Video interviews". Here is how you can access everything: Vinyl Collective's podcast feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/VinylCollectivePodcast (THIS IS A NEW FEED, PLEASE REPLACE YOUR OLD FEED WITH THIS ONE) Joey Cape Podcast [mp3] http://www.vinylcollective.com/podcast/mp3/VC_006.mp3 Joey Cape video in its entirety [.mov] http://www.suburbanhomerecords.com/mediafiles/videos/joey_interview_whole.mov Ralph is working on splitting up the 30 minute video interview into 3 parts since Youtube doesn't allow videos over 10 minutes. Expect that to be in our http://youtube.com/suburbanhome Youtube channel shortly. And Please take a little time out of your day to check this out. I have to say that Joey never ceases to impress me. He is one of my favorite songwriters on the planet, has recorded an unbelievable solo album, has experienced so many things in music, and yet he is one of the most down to earth people I know. We had an amazing time hanging out with Joey before, during, and after the Lagwagon show. Enjoy.
swank
the .mov link doesn't want to work for me. Clicking on it brings up a 404 error, and saving it gives me a movie that won't open.
