jase Posted August 1, 2011 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Just out of the CBD is newtown. In newtown you'll find resist records, and repressed records. Both are pretty damn good, i prefer repressed because they do instore shows of local bands, and have a much wider selection of genres. And it's just across the street from the sandringham hotel. Grab a beer and chill. If you are set on only stores in the CBD, check out red eye and utopia. Both have gone very downhill over the years. Where red eye used to have 3 different locations, it's now one cramped store with pretty douchebag staff. Utopia used to be fucking awesome, and THE place to get metal and hardcore records, now they've tried diversifying and it's just average now. My pick, would be go to Newtown, it's the alternative town of sydney and pretty much rules. Heaps of other great stores to check out also if you want to make a full day of it.
