hsp88
Hand Poured & Numbered Limited to 100 Copies All 100 copies are hand-poured by Greenway's Harry Portnof and completely unique. Each cover is numbered out of 100 for this very special edition. http://greenwayrecords.storenvy.com/products/23598282-psychotica-7 It started as a way to combat their boredom within the New York music scene at the time. They were rehearsing for what would be their first show at the club Patrick managed, the squeezebox at Don Hills. Fatefully an A&R person for Rick Rubin's American Records happened to be walking by, heard them and had a record deal offer on the table immediately, following their very first show. By their second show, fashion icon Stephen Sprouse had statues fashioned out of the members of Psychotica and placed them in the highly aclaimed glam rock exhibit as well in the Rock'n'Roll hall of fame (Take a trip to Cleveland, and there in the Amhet Ertegun Hall of Costumes, sandwiched next to David Bowie and Iggy Pop, you'll find "Patrick Briggs from Psychotica!" -- decked out in Saran Wrap and strung up on a neon cross.) As the year unfolded it was announced that they would be the opening act for Lollapalooza 1996 with Metallica, Rancid, The Ramones and Soundgarden not to mention a brief stint with The Godfather of punk himself , Iggy Pop as well as Devo, Rage Against the Machine, Tool and the list goes on. Possibly the most well known underexposed act in the U.S. Psychotica have remained the tightly knit group of artist / musician's that they were born to be. Barry Zito
This is super cool! I was just lamenting to myself the other day that the first Psychotica album and Espina would likely never see vinyl releases, so this 7" is both unexpected and very welcome. hsp88
