I remember for the longest time there was a copy on Discogs for $20USD, and I kept putting it off, saying oh, it'll be there next week. Finally went to buy it, and it was gone. I'm still kicking myself over it.

Okay, so there was a deal in the Amazon thread for Taylor Swift's 1989 for like $12 shipped used. I put it in my cart and hovered over the "submit order" button, and I decided to back out, but I slipped on the mouse.

 

I can't decide whether or not to cancel my order, so I figured I'd leave it up to you guys. First person to reply with "yes" or "no" decides whether or not I keep it.

Heya folks, looking more into doing this for some local bands, but it seems like the only tape decks I'm able to find with inputs and recording capabilities are either shitty $80 Pyles on Amazon, or $300 Tascams. Has anyone done this and is willing to lend their advice, or even willing to sell some of their equipment?

Finally got these on the day I noticed we now had a cassette collective forum, so I take it as a sign to post about my label's first release. The Black Tar Heroines are a 70s-80s rock, solo-filled band from my area (Carbondale, IL) and have just been tapped to do the soundtrack for some movie with Jeff Bridges. You can listen to the release at their bandcamp or order one of their rad cassettes here.

 

 

Those of you putting out tapes with j-cards, who do you use? I don't really want to get involved with a third party but I feel like a classic j-card would do my next release justice.

 

I'm using Cryptic Carousel, the same company that's dubbing the tapes and everything for my first release.

I feel your pain, man. I worked there once. (Well, Kmart, but they're the same company.) Worst job I've ever had in my life.

I've tried for months to find anything on them. Beyond The Horizon is one of my favorite albums of all time. I even contacted their record label asking what was up with them, never heard anything back.

Coming out on Unbeaten Records, a subset of Equal Vision, on November 25th. I'm BFFZ with the bassist and he says they call themselves "Blackened Hardcore, actually no, we're not, but that's what we're calling it."

This is up, along with Blink. Snagged my copies a couple hours ago, no cancellation yet.

The other night at work one of my (very attractive) coworkers said "Yeah I done seent it" and then suddenly they were not attractive whatsoever.

This is enjoyable, but not even close to either fun. album or the last Steel Train album.

 

This is how I feel. I expected a poppier Steel Train, but... this is nowhere near that.

Saw them last night in STL. Good show. Pretty much same setlist as the night before, so you pretty much know what you're getting (check setlist.fm). Not a huge IIOI fan but they seemed excited to be supporting. The fans around me were cool, but I've had past less positive experiences, so I get it.

 

Pretty much my thoughts on the show, except I was stoked as hell to see IIOI. There was a fight that broke out to my left during the first two songs, and it looked to be between two 30-somethings. Kinda funny.

Do the screenprinted lyrics to All Wrong seriously read "A little different, you'll figure it out"?

Has anyone else still not gotten their 2xLP mystery bundle? Y'know...the ones they said would all ship the following day after order placement? Or is it just me?

 

Haven't gotten mine either. Emailed them about it a while back and they said orders are fulfilled by what's in them, not by when they're placed.

Man, I want that demo CD, but having to also own that shirt is really deterring me. Stupid bundles.
