REACT! NEWS 03/06/08 - MINDSET JOINS THE REACT! CREW - RIGHT IDEA, “OUR WOLRD” 12” EP STILL UP FOR PRE-ORDER - BREAKTHROUGH EP UPDATE - MINDSET NORTHWEST DATES IN JUNE - RIGHT IDEA/MINDSET CALIFORNIA DATES IN JUNE -NEW GEAR BY GET THE MOST, RIGHT IDEA, AND REACT! UP IN THE STORE MINDSET JOINS THE REACT! CREW In early 2007 TFS played a show at The Champion Ship- a great all ages venue in Lemoyne Pennsylvania- and it was there that we got our first chance to check out the band that were soon to become our brothers- Mindset. From the first note of their set to the last everyone in the band was jumping around, stage diving, singing along and putting 100% into each song; beyond an intense live show these guys had the tunes, the lyrics, and a friendly and welcoming vibe that let us know that they were not only one of the best young Straight Edge bands out there, but that they were also for real. With a sound that draws influence from Gorilla Biscuits and Youth of Today, Mindset have already made a name for themselves with self-released a CD and a killer demo, and have spent the last year touring the East Coast and Midwest extensively, writing new material, and getting extremely LIVE. So, I’m really stoked to announce that in the fall of 2008 Mindset will be releasing a brand new four song EP on REACT! to be followed up by their first full length in early 2009. This is a one-time only pressing of 1,000 copies with 200 on blue, 300 on white, and 500 on black and once they’re gone, oh baby they’re gone!  BREAKTHROUGH EP UPDATE After years of being out of press John and Izzy of Breakthrough decided to not only let REACT! press their legendary demo on vinyl, but to also include the extra song Our Perspective. The music for the song had been tracked in the original demo session, but was left without vocals so in 2008 the BxT crew entered the studio once more and laid down the tracks for what has become my favorite Breakthrough song both musically and lyrically. Originally slated for a February 2008 release we’ve hit a few snags along the way but we’re now gearing up and if all goes as planned we’ll be starting pre-orders by the end of July. As always this will be a one-time only pressing of 500 copies and beyond the great tunes and insightful lyrics you can expect awesome packaging, as well as some badass gear.
