  1. http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/ele/3789255403.html I stumbled on this today and wondered what you guys thought about it. Mostly, I can't seem to find much about the PL-450 TT. Granted it's in good shape, what kind of TT is it? I've heard good things about Pioneer online, but of course there are always low ends in the brand. I'd most likely end up replacing the speakers at some point, and it really doesn't matter what kind of VCR or CD player is in there hah
  2. That's sorta been the consensus I've found other places too. Any idea if these specific models are good choices, granted of course they're in decent shape and for the price? http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/ele/3785412592.html http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/ele/3731015358.html
  3. I'd really love to go vintage for a table, but I really don't know what to be looking for. What brands seem to stand the test of time and have models that are still holding up well for a current sub-$200 budget? Or specifically, is there anything from here that jumps out at any of you guys as quality choices at the moment?
  4. Well, I already have the Crosley, so this was a possible replacement. But thanks for the tip on that, I'll look into it. Good to know. Thanks everyone, that's why I came here first.
  5. I found that when I was trying to look up what I could find on it haha But would it be even worse than a Crosley? (This was going to be a hopeful alternative to the one my parents bought a few years ago for their old records to keep to myself)
  6. I was at Goodwill today and spotted a Panasonic SG-D27. It's an early 90s combination turntable, radio, and tape deck. For only $10, I figured I'd pick it up and see how it worked, figuring it would have some issues, but lacking real funds for a setup and not being too much of an audiophile, I figured it was worth a shot. The issue when I got it home was I found that it was running about 5 RPM slow. Before I put any more money into it, I wanted to ask you guys what you knew. Is this potentially worth putting maybe $50 into to get running correctly? Is it likely that just a belt replacement would fix the speed issue? If I ordered a new belt, would I be able to replace it myself? What other kinds of issues should I check for?
