I wish I took a picture. They literally used 2 small tufts of wadded up paper in this mailer that could fit 3 records in it. That, and 2 pieces of cardboard. You could shake the record around inside!

EDIT: Okay, reading back on my original post, I see how you guys would think my issue was solely with it coming with split seams.

my general opinion about VCF is it's a bunch of tools that have been collecting since the "vinyl boom" of the 2000's, who are more concerned with colorway than quality from the labels. Looks at the threads, awful bands, from awful labels for the most part. RSD gets a zillion comments. I don't think everyone here fits that bill, but the majority does. If I hadn't been waiting a couple months already for this I wouldn't have cared as much. But its the rug being pulled at the last minute. I waited years in hopes for a faith no more lp, I order it, waited and was told Id have to wait longer b/c the pressing was messed up. Instead of sending fans garbage they made the plant repress. I had no issue waiting another few months.  When a label is shorted on a major release, they should refuse the order until it filled correctly. But thanks to the glut of garbage on RSD, this will happen more and more. But who cares right? I'm just douche complaining, or maybe I'm someone who used to work with labels and knows the right way to conduct business and the wrong way. Again, pros for Nothing to get the people who were affected a nice option. There is a reason they were not going to continue with Relapse.

you could also argue labels shouldnt promise "500 pressed" or the like, and maybe this is why some dont get too particular when describing runs.

You are correct, and often when this happens generally the label will try to compensate for the people who locked in yet still lost out. Relapse didn't care, I initially asking them the likelihood of getting more so I could weigh options whether to wait or go eBay. The response was this ...

I did moron, I was right there when the orders went up. Still was canceled. Unlike you I'm not a 20 something who takes it in the ass from companies when they screw up. I wanted the bonus tracks, I got jipped. So compensate the people who got screwed, not just a lame email saying "oh well things happen". 

well if it wasn't for squeaky wheels like myself. you wouldn't have been offered a thing by the label. Don't think they were just doing it to be nice.

If you like the deal relapse is now offering people who had their deluxe orders canceled, you can say thank you. They weren't going to do anything for us. I have been talking with the band since Friday and giving Relapse a piece of my mind. Nothing helped me get that offer together. I'M satisfied with it, I took em up on the offer. I still want my deluxe and will pray I get an email that more came in, otherwise eBay it is. Again huge props to Nothing for listening to my complaints and getting at relapse to make things right.
