  2. Here's the thing...

When we submit information on a new record to our big fancy distro, they take that info put it in their database.  That info includes street date, pricing album name, band, etc etc.  That database of info is open to anyone with an account.    So ANYONE who has an account with RED can take that info, and put it on their website, store, mailing list, etc.  For many companies, this is just done automatically.  The info is made available and it is just automatically added to their store's database.  Like Amazon, there isn't some dude sitting there trying to remember how to type the é in Touché Amoré, the shit just instantly gets added in... like magic.

What I am saying is, that these preorders come up and really don't mean anything.

I just thought it was funny how I found it. Thanks for clearing it up.

  3. This might be a bit overboard, but assuming the yellow/fuchsia sold at a constant rate and customers only chose that colour until the variant was sold out, you could calculate the approximate order number you placed. For example, my confirmation email came at 12:06 (360 seconds), and all 500 were gone by around 12:28 (1680 seconds). So you'd take 360, multiply it by 500, and divide that by 1680; giving me somewhere around the 107th order placed.

I know that might sound outrageous. I enjoy math.

    I enjoyed this calculation. haha
