Great record! Speaking of New Order, I managed to grab a couple of 12" singles (Blue Monday, Thieves Like Us) this afternoon while dropping off some tapes for consignent...
That's awesome man, nice pick-ups too.
It's kind of cool, its actually an Italian imported version so some of the songs are different recordings. bizarre love triangle isn't as long but its a lot "airier" if that makes sense - I'm feeling it, nice to have a few oddities in the collection.

Mike T, that lunch menu looks legit in comparison to how my school use to be.
Our school district has gone a long way since I was in high school. They could hardly accommodate people with allergies, but now it seems everyone can eat for an somewhat decent cost. Beats the greasy stale pizza I was subject to.

I'm not sure how widespread/available Picaroon's beer is, but if you ever see these I recommend you at least try a couple different brews. You buy them in singles.

this is awesome. these guys film all of this stuff close to where i'm from. i actually see these guys roaming the street in character at times - but not recently.
this is truly great news.

Where I live it is also a struggle for a young, somewhat recent graduate to find work. For me it is going year to year, if nothing comes up I need to supply for a bit until something opens. With budget cuts and less of a turn around some colleagues have turned to other career paths even, which I could not imagine doing after putting in my 5 1/2 years of post secondary. Hanging in there, but optimistic. Very nice seeing a number of teachers on this forum!

It sounds to me like Kanye is falling into the DIY trend, not setting it. "Alt" hip hop has been around for a while.
I agree. I should have specified that I think mainstream artists are going to follow this trend. I'm sure G.O.O.D. Music will be filled with similar style releases in the next year. I wouldn't put it past other mainstream hip-hop artists to follow. Perhaps see some more Daft Punk productions.

After a few listens I enjoy the album enough to pick up the record if and/or when it comes out.
Now we can expect a bunch of hip-hop artists releasing Yeezus style tracks - Ye is quite the trendsetter if you look at his past 3 releases.
Why do YOU collect Vinyl?

I used to collect CDs until a few years ago when downloading was just so much easier (one of those guys for a bit), finally when I moved out of my parents my dad asked me "do you want the old turntable and big speakers" and i absolutely accepted the offer. he didn't want to give me his records I only asked for "the rise and fall of ziggy stadust" ... after hearing how amazing that album sounded through the system I had to go out and buy a few more. Since then it has become a major expenditure, but well worth it.
It is almost difficult to contribute a new reason why any of us collect vinyl 5 pages in, but it's definitely an awesome feeling to go to a record store and browse and explore some new music. it's a nice social activity both at a record store or at home with friends.
