  1. Loud About Loathing is a flawless EP. Glad NMB decided to get back together.

I couldn't agree more. They were awesome at the Fest 7. First time seeing them since they played the FAT tour with Against Me in 2003. The bass player is a sight to see. Hopefully they do a big tour whenever the new album comes out. So many bands skip St. Louis :(

  2. Then why does everyone in San Diego want to sign him to an extension?!

No clue. But if it tells you something, the Vegas Wise Guys, the people who make a living on betting, factor good ol' Norvy in when they make predictions. He's one of two coaches they do that for in the entire NFL.

    .

Is the other coach Wade Phillips?

  3. I went last year and had a good time. The camping grounds did look brutal and I would not suggest camping. It didn't look like there was any grass, just rocks and dirt. I stayed at the Quality Inn a couple of miles down the road. You did have to pay for parking everyday at HOH and I think it was 10 or 15 bucks. If you left and came back during the same day you had to pay again. So that kind of sucked. I didn't have a problem with the way the stages were set up. Everything was really close so if you had 2 bands you wanted to see playing at the same time it was easy to catch a part of both. But there was a ton of dirt. My two friends and I were blowing black shit out of out noses all weekend. It would get in your eyes and stuff too. Beer was relatively cheap from I remember. They had a bunch of food stands but they usually had really long lines and they were running out of stuff by Saturday night. The Johnny On the Spots were literally overflowing with shit by Saturday night as well. I have a picture somewhere I'll post if I can find it. All three of us had blast though and all the bands we saw were excellent. I plan on attending this year as the lineup is great. And HOH is absolutely nothing like the Fest.

  4. I actually have the same line up of RBs for my game this week

    Gore

    Mendenhall

    Jerome Harrison

    Fred Jackson

I play 3 of them so who should be the odd man out? I've been leaning towards Mendenhall since the Steelers are playing Baltimore. Any insights?

Tough call on this one. But I would probably bench Mendenhall. I wouldn't rule out Mendenhall over Jackson though. I would be a little scared about the Buffalo QB starting his first game ever on the road if Fitzpatrck can't play. But that could lead to more carries for Jackson.

  5. could also use some help for my championship game.

    qb - p. manning

    wr - b. marshall

    wr - c. ochocinco

    rb - f. gore

    rb - r. mendenhall

    te - f. davis

    flex - j. harrison

    bench

    qb - b. roethlisberger

    wr - d. driver

    wr - r. bush

Jerome Harrison scored 47 points in my league last week, but only has 110 on the season.. so I have no idea what to expect this week, or if i should even start him over Driver/Bush.

also, think Peyton Manning will play the whole game? or should I just start Big Ben?

I think Manning will play the first half for sure and most of the third quater. Don't forget they have the bye in the first round of the playoffs too. He will probably sit most of next weeks game. If they get up to a 17 - 21 point lead later on he will come out for sure. But the Jets have great pass D, only 8 passing touchdowns allowed all year. They might keep this game close and Manning to an average game. I think Big Ben has a slightly better matchup here. But how do you bench Peyton Manning? Since this is the championship game I would go with Big Ben.

I would go with Jerome Harrison over Driver and Bush. Oakland has horrible run D and you know Cleveland will be giving him the ball. The Raiders give up an average of 148 rushing yards a game. Cleveland does have a really shitty passing game though. This might end up a field goal contest if Oakland just focuses on the run. Harrison does have a decent amount of catches this year. It looks like it will be windy so he should get a few screen pases. While Driver does have a really nice matchup vs the Seahawks, I would stick with Harrison. Reggie Bush will probably get a decent amount of rest for the playoffs from here on out. Good luck! Make sure your kickers aren't playing in bad weather.

  6. I would go with Thomas Jones. Indy rush D is much worse than the Bengals. Indy is ranked 16th and Cincy is 3rd. Even though Big Ben is coming off that monster game I would really consider Alex Smith. Detroit has the worst pass D in the league and Roethlisberger has never been really good vs. Baltimore. Average of less than 200 yards a game and 1 int a game. Though he does have 14 Tds in 8 career games vs. them. I think Alex Smth has potential to have a huge game here. Weather conditions are much better in San Francisco as well. But I always tell myself to go with my starters when in doubt. Good luck!

  7. holy crap dan. what a close game.

i was laying in bed watching the last couple quarters of the chargers game. i work at 7 am and have to wake up at 530 to get there in time, so i really should have been sleeping, but i knew how close our game was gonna be. when sproles scored that touchdown i almost got out of bed to check what the score was, but i figured i had won it with that. when i woke up this morning and realized i lost by 1 fucking point, i was not a happy camper.

we played tackle football during lunch at work, today, though. i scored 3 TDs (2 receiving and 1 kickoff return), so all in all it was a good day.

hopefully for this week's games, i'll play an entire roster full of guys who are actually active (thanks, bernard berrian)... ::)

for real, though, good game chap. <3

I feel your pain as I lost by 2. I was kind of screwed either way though. I had Zach Miller my TE playing against SD my def.

  8. hey memphis, did you play at wacky warrriors in wentzville? I play like 2-3 times a year and that is my favorite place by far, I love the courses in the woods, so much fun.

oh and the leg pain is crazy! I am usually sore for days!

We played at Extreme Paintball in Millstadt, Illinois. I did play at Wacky Warriors once a few years ago. I would check this place out if you get a chance. They had 8 to 10 different courses. Though it was quite the drive from Ofallon.

  9. A guy I used to work with had his bachelor today and we all went played paint ball for 4 hours. My legs are so fucking sore right now from crouching and popping up to shoot. Only had one really bad hit on my right hand. Broke the skin and has swelled up quite a bit. But what a blast. Took a couple of shots to the arms and left some nice welts. The bachelor took a clean shot to the balls! They offered these thermal glasses that didn't fog up for extra money but they didn't cover your forehead area like the other masks did. I shot this guy right in the forehead twice and it looked like he had horns ready to pop through. Everyone started calling him Hellboy. Felt kind of bad because he seemed like a really cool guy. I wasn't aiming for his head. He came around some barrels and I was looking right at him and fired away. We also had 4 current members in the Marines with us and a former Marine. Of course they show up with their own guns and decked out in camouflage. We took on this other group that seemed like regulars to the place in 12 vs 18 match. We absolutely destroyed them during a 30 minute match. Luckily I have some painkillers left over from a root canal. Took 2 about an hour ago. The rest of them were all going out drinking afterward. There was no way I could make it through that. I'm so out of shape. Being a smoker didn't help me out.

  10. Went to this at Pops(Sauget/St. Louis) on Thursday. Pretty much the same set list as well but we got 1930 during the encore. They jokingly said something like "put away the cameras because they don't want it all over you tube" I worked until 9 so I missed everyone else except a few songs by Murder By Death. Overall they were excellent as usual. I had a killer hangover the next day.
